State department director, Saadon Mokhtar said they split into two teams - one on the island and another on the mainland, to carry out the work.

"We will focus on public spots such as markets at the Yellow Zone, at the northeast district of the island and Seberang Perai Tengah district. If there are more areas, we will split the team further.

"After this we will do the Air Itam Market. On the mainland, we will go to Chai Leng Park and the Raja Uda Apollo markets," he said when met, here, today.

He said the locations to carry out the work depends on the approval of the local council.

Once it has been approved, the traders will be notified so they can cover parts of their stall where food items are kept.

The personnel will spray the disinfection chemicals at exposed areas to kill germs, viruses and bacteria.

Saadon said that a notice will also be pasted at the disinfected zone.

"The frequency of this work depends on the situation," he added.

He also called on any non-governmental organisation (NGOs) and individuals to work with them to carry out the work instead of doing it on their own.

"This also includes voluntary firemen. We must work together to streamline our efforts and ensure the safety of those involved," he said.

Nationwide disinfection exercises will be regularly carried out, especially at Red and Orange Zone areas in the country to curb the spread of Covid-19.

  1. Finally the bandaraya people got their priorities right.

It is the Tanjung Tokongs, the Air Itams, the Orange Zones, the FILTHY rats, bacteria, virus, cockroach and vermin infested areas that need cleaning, lots of attention and daily enforcement.

Focus On These Areas, and the people that go there every day. How many people have been arrested in these areas for breaking MCO rules, eg social distancing? And how many have been charged in court, fined 13k, have their passports confiscated and have to report to the polis station every month?

Taman Bandaraya is very green, clean and serene. No chance of catching any diseases there. Did bandaraya send any people there to disinfect the greenery?

Leave Dr Ong alone, my TANK MAN.
