This is nothing but poppycock. What’s the difference between Kit Siang’s so-called “Black Tuesday” of 2015 and the “Black Tuesday” of 2019 involving Latheefa Koya’s appointment as the new MACC chief? Shukri Abdull, a suspected PAS sympathiser, was asked to go because he came out with a statement in February saying that the MACC has discovered no evidence that Umno gave PAS RM90 million.
Kit Siang loves coming out with such things. For 50 years he has been asking for “full investigation”, ‘Royal Commission of Inquiry”, etc., into hundreds of things. Tak habis-habis full investigation, Royal Commission of Inquiry, dan kepala bapak engkau. But now they are in power, abuk pun takde. Where are all his full investigations and his Royal Commission of Inquiries into all those hundreds of other issues he has been screaming about for 50 years?

Despite the fact that this appointment
1) set aside the requiring approval of the Parliamentary Special Select Committee on Public Appointments.
2) the matter of her appointment was not tabled in the Cabinet but was an appointment made directly by Mahathir.

As those talks going around that Latheefa’s appointment has really got nothing to do with the fight against corruption, but is more aimed at de-stabilising the conditions that would lead to Anwar (photo) taking over from Mahathir as the next prime minister of the country.

I think it is RPK who is trying to distract the fact that Latheefa’s appointment by Toonsie was a master stroke. So as usual drag some DAP Chinese like Kit or Guanee into it.
ReplyDeleteI’m looking forward to Latheefa “going after corruption anywhere and everywhere it is found” and improve Malaysia’s corruption perception index to the top 10 in the world. Then I would be happy for the Harapan government to re-introduce the GST at whatever percentage because I will be confident my tax money will not be stolen but put to good use.
