Lim KS v Mah - like kicking a downed boxer

FMT - Mah should have quit over 1MDB, says Kit Siang (extracts):

PETALING JAYA: Lim Kit Siang has criticised Mah Siew Keong over his reason for stepping down as Gerakan president and said the latter should have quit over the 1MDB scandal instead of citing his party’s poor performance in the May 9 polls.

If the former Teluk Intan MP had quit over the 1MDB, he would have gained the “sympathy, support and solidarity of all Malaysians”, Lim said hours after the former minister announced his resignation.

“Mah’s resignation, without lodging a single protest at the 1MDB scandal is a great disservice to Gerakan and himself,” the DAP supremo said in a statement.

Mah announced his resignation as party president earlier today after Gerakan, which has since left the Barisan Nasional, failed to win any seat compared to the one parliamentary seat it won in the 13th general election
.

mah siew keong

Even though the election is over and Mah Siew Keong has accepted responsibility for his Gerakan party losing kaukau (teruk sangat), and thus has resigned from his party presidential position, Lim Kit Siang continues in his attack-hound role, to attack attack attack and maul maul maul for his Master Mahathir's sake.

Lim KS reminds me of Australia's former Liberal politician-minister Nick Minchin.

Nicholas Hugh Minchin is a former Australian politician and currently serves as the Australian Consul-General in New York, USA. He previously served as a Liberal member of the Australian Senate representing South Australia from July 1993 to June 2011, and a former cabinet minister in the Howard Government

In Australia after an election, politicians normally 'stand down' from their partisan stand, relax as fellow Aussies, have a beer or two and talk civilly as Australian mates. Nick Minchin, alone among all politicians, has been noted to NEVER ever let his partisan guard down, and like Lim KS would be ferociously hostile to the opposite side. Many don't like Minchin for his silly combat-mentality even the election is over.

While Lim KS has a role to play to support his Towkay Mahathir's government, where such attacks distract the rakyat from Pakatan's feeble parts of its policies and governance, he should as a Malaysian, human being and supposedly an elder statesmen, exercise civility and courtesy towards a fellow politician (opposition as Mah Siew Keong might have been) when the latter is stepping down in defeat.

started as a true multiracial party in 1969 and the best there was (besides Barisan Socialis), it eventually deteriorated into a Chinese-majority party

it was manipulated by the late Tun Razak into continuous silent combat with MCA which enervated both parties

What further political point is there for Kit Siang to gain (other than doing his Master's bidding) by insulting a politician who has accepted he lost badly? It's like punching and kicking the other boxer after he has been knocked down.  Such is the disappointing disgusting dark side of Lim KS.

Lim KS has failed abysmally to show his gentlemanly grace when it's needed most. He gives me the sad and macabre reason to believe that when he eventually dies and is interned, he'll still be continuing to attack attack attack and maul maul maul from within his coffin.

If he has so much energy to waste on shameful sickening savagery, why doesn't he re-invoke what he has been raving and ranting about for over 30 years (but now remains strangely muted), to wit, the still unexplained and unaccountable scandals of Mahathir during his 4th PM-ship?

  1. LKS just finished reading the book Billion Dollar Whale. Like me he’s mad that up till today, NOBODY from the BN side has taken any responsibility for 1MDB. It looks like they will lay all the blame on that pudgy pig. Crucify him. But it was Najib, with the support of UMNO and BN component leaders like Mah. who simply refused to listen, that allowed 1MDB to happen.

  2. So should we simply allow Mah to resign and wash his hands of 1MDB? Wasn’t he an ardent supporter of that fund?

    2. By "they" I assume you mean Badawi and Najib.

Post PM4, the Badawi and Najib administrations failed to take action on Mahathir's scandals. 2003 -2018. They had Fifteen years. Why didn't they gather all the evidence, arrest and charge him and put him in jail.

For fifteen years the Badawi and Najib administration washed their hands. Despite cries from the then-opposition. Why?

Now after BN have lost power they ask the previous opposition to do their job, the job they failed to do for 15 years. What a joke. Bit hard now isn't it?

But why don't you make a police report on Mahathir and get the ball rolling.....again. I'll be right behind you.

    3. James was probably referring to Anwar, LKS, DAP, Oppositions, et al. Suddenly, all of his crimes for 22 years are now whitewashed, and the crimes of those ex-UMNOs who joined PH and delivered the throne to them at last. All their sins have been holified and wiped clean, and now these politicians have become angels to those who voted for them.

  3. Like all BN members, Gerakan cannot even begin to play any role as a credible opposition until it takes accountability for their silence over 1MDB when they were in Government.

Lim Kit Siang was not in the government for the last 40 years, there is no government action that he needs to answer for.

  4. Me, my children and grandchildren demand our pound of flesh; a few slices from Mah's rump will give some satisfaction. Or a couple of ounces from his groin area.

  5. The pudgy pig now has his PR firm (paid using OUR money) open a website proclaiming he is innocent. Najib also declares he is innocent. Mah resigns, stays silent on 1MDB. Next Liow Tiong Lai will step down as MCA President. Then MIC President. All Cuci Tangan. Nobody is responsible. LGE has to clean up. Malaysian taxpayers simply have to pay.

Let the Finger Pointing Begin please.

  6. Aiyoh, LKS just criticizing with words and you called that ungentlemanly and doing his Master's bidding.

For Mah and his party's betrayal to the country by keeping dumb, deaf and mute to all the scandals which nearly destroyed the country, they should all be called collaboraters to crimes and also charged and convicted in courts and caned in public around the Parliament grounds.

They are called traitors just like UMNO, PAS and all the other BN parties.

    1. Ktemoc was also keeping dumb, deaf and mute prior to Ge14 about the 1MDB....he was writing on a lot of stuff but kept a clear berth from the doings of his paymaster in 1MDB. The ONLY time he ever alluded to this was when he labelled Chief Pirate as being "naughty" for which I remembered taking great umbrage and told our dedak-addict that time that 'naughty' is like being mischievous, like a grandad pinching a nurse's bottom while she took his temperature, lol.

Now our dedak-addict sangat cakap banyak....exactly like his Pirate boss now , non stop chattering, both paymaster and mercenary spinner telling full-of-holes stories and trying to take the readers and listeners for fools when they themselves are so lame brain like as though infected with cow disease, wakakakaka.

One trying not to be sent to jail for a long time, the other trying to spin hay into gold ala Rumpelstiltskin story ( courtesy of looes, so apt ) wakakakaka.

  7. So when LKS lost in Penang election, did he quit as he now demands from Dr Mah? HELL NO! He staysed and brought in his failure of a son and daughter in law to prop up his dynasty!

LKS should take up his own advice and quit politics for turning his back on his decades of rhetoric.

  8. Non Malaysian taxpayers fail to understand how we feel.

Australian Ministers have had to quit over a few thousand dollars, like charging personal taxi fare to the taxpayer, after strong public pressure. Why do Australian taxpayers demand such severe punishment for such a relatively small amount. So how will Australian taxpayers react if the Minister stole USD4.5 BILLION? Will they all be graceful, just let him resign and wash his hands?

When dedak mengaburi his eyes, he lost all respect from his readers.

    1. Read the book Billion Dollar Whale. It is written in simple English. Like a storybook.

If you are looking for straightforward "Jho Low caught holding a smoking gun with a dead body with a bullet hole in the head lying in front of him" type evidence you won't find it. It doesn't exist.

The evidence is buried in many legal documents, off shore companies with obscure ownership, emails, phone taps, witness accounts, you name it etc. Many jurisdictions involved and only after they all put the complete picture together can the charges be laid not just against Malaysians but also people from other countries. The evidence and charges all have to be consistent, so much coordination work is required by the various authorities, MACC, DoJ etc. These crooks are very smart and rich, they have hired the best defence lawyers so prosecution needs to be on their toes. That's why it takes so long to put it all together.

In simple terms there are 3 separate "heists", starting with the PetroSaudi heist then followed by two other heists involving bond issues with Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, other financial institutions, Tanjung energy IPO etc. Then there are many "cover-ups" to hide the trail.

    3. If they still can't find whatever shred of evidence, they will probably charge him for the crime of sitting at the same table as Hadi. And then they will go over and charge Hadi too, for sitting at the same table with Najib! Nothing is impossible in New 'Old' Malaysia! Hohohoho!

    4. Hello TS and CK.. there's also a book Malaysian Maverick by Barry Wain. But there's no evidence on that 100B? Wakakaka...

    5. For Unkown amd john, maybe they will only consider this 1MDB theft if they are shown a genuine non edited video with Jibby stealing into a bank wearing a badly fitting mask in the dead of night and carting away billions of ringgit to the waiting lorries outside...but of course the lorries had to be in the thousands to pack in the 42 billions, wakakakaka.

And these people claimed themselves professional and 'highly' educated, maybe with a string of degrees behind their names and bragging about their 'expertise' here. I like this phrase used by someone..he said these people are 'educated beyond their intelligence'...wakakakaka.

    6. Wakakakaka…

      What a (in)convenient comparison!

Wain's Malaysian Maverick has contents due MAINLY from secondary deduction from ONE country ONLY.

Billion Dollar Whale: The Man Who Fooled Wall Street, Hollywood, and the World by Bradley Hope and Nicholas T. Wright has contents based on DIRECT official sources of multiple countries!

A simple question: sources from a single country CAN be easily manipulated by those who keep the records. But can sources from multiple countries of multiple disciplines be equally manipulated by those who keep these records?

In the 2nd scenario u r calling for international conspiracy to topple jibby le!

      Who's jibby, AGAIN? Wakakakaka2

U r not ONLY blurred, one-sided but totally stucked with mud in yr brain!

  11. The window of opportunity closed with GE14. From 2003-2018 the Badawi and Najib administrations did nothing to investigate the Maverick book. Why? Something to hide? Pandora’s Box? They could have investigated, charged and locked TDM up for good. Missed opportunity.

But if unknown wants to re-open this window please lodge a police report against TDM now and I will be right behind him.
