Syabas Zainab Anwar, a Towering Malaysian

Star Online - Zainah Anwar featured in Harvard Law exhibit (extracts):

PETALING JAYA: Activist Zainah Anwar (pic) has been featured in the 2018 Annual Harvard Law International Women's Day Portrait Exhibit.

The exhibit that is running into its fifth year showcases astounding contributions of 25 women from around the world in the areas of law and policy.

Those honoured were nominated by HLS students, faculty or staff for their "powerful voices" in their respective fields.

Zainah is a founder of Sisters in Islam, and the current director of Musawah, a global movement for equality and justice in the Muslim family.

It's a fantastic world class achievement, where our Zainah has been honoured alongside world female achievers like:

(a) Jody Wilson-Raybould, the Canadian Minister of Justice and Attorney-General,

(b) Anna Neistat, Senior Director of Research for Amnesty International,

(c) Shirin Ebadi, Nobel Peace Prize recipient, and

(d) Tarana Burke, the creator of "Me Too".

Memang she is a Towering Malaysian. Syabas Zainab.

For years I have admired her very much for her work and dedication to her sacrifice in particular for Muslim women.

Pssst, I have to confess that for aeons I have harboured secret 'hots' for Zainah, wakakaka. But alas, she is too classy for proletariat me lah ... sob sob sob. But she still has my love, wakakaka.
