Comical 'War' in Malaysia

Malaysiakini - Chong applauds Padang Rengas MCA for 'jilting' Nazri (extracts):

Padang Rengas MCA did the right thing by cutting ties with Tourism and Culture Minister Nazri Abdul Aziz, who is also the Padang Rengas MP, said MCA Youth chief Chong Sin Woon (above).

Chong told a function in Petaling Jaya today that MCA will not associate themselves with Nazri because of his habit of attacking the party and for being too chummy with DAP.

"It is good that he says we are not his friends. On the Internet, there are photographs of him and his 'friend'. Everyone knows this.

"The Internet is full of photographs of the two of them behaving like brothers in arms," said Chong, according to Kwong Wah Yit Poh.

This was in reference to the fact that Nazri and DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng had publicly engaged in brotherly embraces numerous times.

Describing the duo as "birds of a feather", Chong said he has never seen Nazri embracing MCA leaders nor will MCA leaders ever do so with "such characters".

“How to be friends with them?”

This was Tourism and Culture Minister Nazri Abdul Aziz's latest remark regarding his heated exchange with MCA.

Speaking to Malaysiakini, the Umno lawmaker also revealed how his decision to back MCA president Liow Tiong Lai led to a boycott in his parliamentary constituency of Padang Rengas in Perak during the 2013 general election.

Nazri said he had thrown his weight behind Liow against former president Dr Chua Soi Lek during the MCA polls.

“But Padang Rengas MCA supported Chua. So when they found out I was supporting Liow, they (the division) issued a statement to hammer me,” he added.

Apart from calling for a boycott against him in the Chinese papers, Nazri said the division also told his constituents not to vote for him.

"To date, they (Padang Rengas MCA) have not met me to say whether the boycott is still in force.

“Neither has there been any attempt by the MCA central leadership to ask Padang Rengas MCA to stop," he added.

Wakakaka, what a comedy, that MCA is jealous Nazri has not given them his "warm embrace".

two confused grumpy old men

But in the end, it has been one of Fate's naughtiest ironical jokes on us all, that Najib who had wanted to coopt the DAP into his embrace (through Nazri's chumminess with Guan Eng), is today still fighting the DAP, whilst the Old Man who hated the DAP so much and had indirectly warned Najib in 2014 not to play hanky panky with the Rocket people, is now in the Rocket's cockpit, wakakaka.

Now we have Nazri of UMNO in a tiff with Chong of MCA over Nazri's alleged 'love affair' with DAP.

What a comical weird world we Malaysians live in.

  1. Could Lim Guan Eng be construed as a kind of traitor for being a Nazri chum ?
Just wondering.. since Lim Kit Siang is considered the Greatest Traitor for allying with Mahathir...

    1. Kit Siang is ALLIED to his former arch-foe in a political alliance, working together when they previously condemned each other

Is Guan Eng doing that with Nazri?

Being on opposite sides of politics does not mean one cannot be civil (or even friendly) to the person on the other side

  2. Me think UMNO is just preparing itself to survive after next GE14 in case the following situations arises:

    1. UMNO could not get it's majority even with East Malaysian partners and has to form a coalition Govt. with either PAS or DAP.
    2. East Malaysian partners decides to form coalition with PH to form a coalition Govt.
    3. MCA, Gerakan, MIC all get wiped out in GE14 and UMNO needs DAP to form a lookalike continuation of a BN party.
    4. UMNO decides to be a PKR clone after GE14 to prepare for GE15.
    5. UMNO needs PPBM seats to maintain as a majority party in BN and the dreaded welcoming return of the doctor into UMNO to topple MO1.

MCA, Gerakan, MIC and other small hybrids created are at their last grasps of air in GE14 and they still do not see it coming.

MCA, Gerakan has always been seen as a party of businessmen by the Chinese playing chummy with UMNO to share the spoils after each GE. The spoils of war is just so viral a disease that only fools still believe in the holiness of politicians and party principles.

Isn't it getting more complicated to understand UMNO's politiking?

Not, if you're called Nazri and his band of brothers hedging their bets.

    1. May I add:-
Pakatan wins, Najib is ousted as UMNO president or probably even expelled from the party, PPBM splits with Pakatan with leaders and members rejoin UMNO, robs Pakatan of its majority in parliament, then either Pakatan staggers on as a lame duck government, or BN take over as federal government or Pakatan government falls and a fresh election is called - Hee, ha-ha, ho-ho!

  3. All of u r expecting the grandmother's same old same old mamak ver1.0 scheming.

What if mamak orchestrated solid new play of ver2.0 as his parting legacy?

For a politikus like mamak, thinking out of the box is so possible NOW, with mamak ver2.0 lah!

Yes, those other umno cloned mfers in ph COULD do what u postulated. But non of them could out play mamak ANY TIME.

Mamak ver2.0 will be game changer for u guys to scream bravo, to curse till nth generations, & to hand their wordsmith's hired pens le!
