BEST political statement 2018 (5)

FMT - Does Pakatan think Mahathir shouldn’t be PM? by Sebastian Loh (extracts):

What’s hilarious is, half-way through Pakatan’s manifesto, you realise this purportedly anti-Najib, anti-BN document is actually a long tirade against the Mahathir era. If Pakatan wants to convince me that Mahathir is unfit to be PM again, tak payah lah. I’m already there – I agree 100%!

Some may argue that Mahathir’s public acceptance of Pakatan’s proposals show that he has finally turned a new leaf. Please lah. Just last year, he said he didn’t regret sacking Anwar Ibrahim in 1998. Then this week, he said he shouldn’t have acted against Anwar. Are you kidding me?

I’m genuinely curious: Who believes anything Mahathir says at this point? Who believes he will stick to his word and won’t U-turn again? And are they the same people who fall for Nigerian e-mail scams?

Others will say, Mahathir is the best person to right his own wrongs. Fine. Then George W. Bush should be the UN’s peace envoy to the Middle East. Kim Jong-Un should head a UN committee on nuclear disarmament. And Tiger Woods should be a marriage counsellor.

Sebastian Loh is of course a pro BN chap, but I collect statements from both sides. I already have Lim Lip Eng's (DAP), Andy Yong's (Gerakan), Charles Santiago's (DAP) and Cmdr (rtd) S Thayaparan's (MKINI columnist).

This time I deem as worthy of being included in my list of Best (wakakaka to matey HT Low again) political statements for 2018 (5) what Sebastian Loh has written, as follows:

Others will say, Mahathir is the best person to right his own wrongs. Fine. Then George W. Bush should be the UN’s peace envoy to the Middle East. Kim Jong-Un should head a UN committee on nuclear disarmament. And Tiger Woods should be a marriage counsellor.

Wakakaka.

  2. Wakakakaka………it should be qualified as the most brainless political understatement.

Despite mamaks 22yr of malfeasances, he ALSO has many notable deeds, which u have NEVER mentioned!

George Bush Jr should be be the UN’s peace envoy to the Middle East. IFF he has ANYTHING good that worthed mentioning throughout his blundering ptrsidency!

Kim Jong-Un should head a UN committee on nuclear disarmament IFF this young Turk has a longer history of govt administration. Choosing at this stage of his career is liken to given the governorship of central bank to a fresh graduate!

U r losing touch with reality!

Lagi, don't hide between yr claimed 'fairness' to project yr singular biasness lah. Memang malu kuat2 le.

    1. "yr claimed 'fairness' to project"
Ktemoc, just like Stephen Loh, only knows to demand Fairness to BNajib.

For PH , especially towards Mahathir, Anwar , PKR he only has extreme bias.

  3. I like rafizi's most.... "even a cat can win in pandan"...that more or less sums up the prevailing sentiment on the ground but if I was him I would have said even undirosak can win....kt if your mission is to discourage the fence sitters to support change for a different and alternative gomen, warts and all, because of your grudge and dislike for one man by disparaging him incessantly, are you not exposing your petty and selfish streak...which reminds me of the famous last word of the rat on the mouse trap... blaaady cheese

    undirosak 1 kt -2

  4. Why should a BN supporter worry or criticize about PH manifesto?

Likewise, why should a PH supporter worry or criticize about BN manifesto?

It's all just a manifesto of promises anyway by politicians.
Just don't forget, politicians are the least trusted professions among others.

Manifestos are a way for voters to judge a party's policies and their candidates? Are you kidding? Is that how voters decides?

The best manifesto would be for any voter to draw up their own with checkboxes at every critirea of whom the candidates they are voting for and their party.

Then tick it according to the candidates and their party contesting and whoever has the most ticked checkboxes would be the preferred candidate and party.

    Isn't that more objective?

If you find totally not even 1 ticked checkbox, then either:

    1. Consider it a public holiday on polling day and enjoy time with the family at some beaches, mountains or shopping. Don't waste your time going to a polling booth to cast a spoilt vote. You would be looked upon like a fool by family members or friends unless you are one of those who has to be seen voting at the polling booth.

    or

    2. Become a candidate in your voting area since you should consider yourself to be the best and most enlightened one.

  6. The shrill wail of BNajib supporters is daily becoming more and more desperate.
BNajib claims to be confident of victory.. but I Don't see that from their actions.
