Fake news on Rafizi Ramli's sentence?

MM Online publishes (extracts only):

PETALING JAYA, Feb 7 — MP Rafizi Ramli’s 30-year jail sentence for exposing confidential banking data on the National Feedlot Corporation (NFC) and its chairman is a reminder that there are legal limits to justice crusaders, Barisan Nasional (BN) politicians said today.

I believe the sentence is only for 30 months, not 30 years. The latter will be far too shocking.

  1. Rafizi's BAFIA sentence IS an unabridged lesson in punishing a lesser evil!

BAFIA aims to protect financial data secrecy under NORMAL circumstances.

But it also provides a channel for unscrupulous scums to hide their ill-gotten fortune.

By exposing these illegal & unethical uses of official funds, the action contravenes BAFIA.

But it also exposes the larger evil of official fund mismanagement!

The saddest part is the crooks were/r STILL roaming free while the whistleblowers r been punished!

So, where's that claimed Canonisation of lesser evil?

    My foot lah!!!

#Undirosak indeed otakrosak, u hypocritical bleeding hearts out there!

    1. According to Oppos logic, if you break the law you're considered a hero. Hmm... no wonder there's plenty of law breakers daily on the roads.

    3. The politicisation and injustice of the Malaysian justice system is clear.
The scandal which Rafizi exposed involved Hundreds of Millions of Public funds which were diverted for private use, spent on Cow Condos in Bangsar and in Singapore.

No criminal action has been take against the perpetrators.

    4. I'm neither for nor against. Instead I believe in rule of law, and if everyone cherry picks which laws they wanna follow and which they don't, then I prefer to disobey law of gun ownership and limit supply of ammunition.

  2. 30 years too shocking? Not unprecedented. ISA at SG, is 75 years and counting. Les majeste at Thai is about 70 years & also counting.
    30 years is nothing.
