Election campaign in Penang begins (2)

As I have predicted, Lim Guan Eng's trial for alleged corruption will be held gnam gnam for GE14.

FMT reports Court fixes 23 days for Guan Eng, Phang’s graft trial (extracts):

GEORGE TOWN: The High Court has fixed 23 days to hear the corruption case involving Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng and businesswoman Phang Li Koon.

Justice Hadhariah Syed Ismail fixed the hearing dates from March 26 to 30, April 9 to 12, April 23 to 27, May 7 to 10 and May 21 to 25.

Lim Guan Eng is politically so invincible in Penang, like Superman, that BN has to use kryptonite against him in order for Gerakan (and MCA) to make any headway in the northern state.

Satu Hati

Guess whose party slogan is Satu Hati?

It's that of the now-defunct UDP - United Democratic Party, wakakaka.

  1. The main damage will be outside Penang. One effective marketing point for DAP in other states has been the Penang State government.

Being able to plausibly Point to Penang under DAP as equally corrupt will sway many in other battleground states.

My Johore counterparts are already saying DAP "also same-same lah.."

The BN have it's political pondans consisting MCA,Gerakan and Umno dogs at work. And of course the kangaroo courts working in cahoots. But Lim Guan Eng will come out of this unscathed.Who knows what the results will be on election night. If BN loses, these dudes will be on their knees begging to suck Guan Eng's dick.

    2. I am hardcore, diehard DAP supporter but every day I hantam our PM-designate who was corrupted and dictatorial, and as a very principled person, I absolutely abhor corruption in any shade and manner.

Alas, in the sea of the unprincipled, I could only count on one hand those who are as scrupulous as I am...hail to my soulmates Fa Abdul, Sangeeta - daughter with a lion heart, and Dr Kua Kia Soong. Nothing beats doing things in the right way, in the right time and with the right attitude. No shady underhand methods for us, no alliance with past evil dictator who basically was responsible for the situation we are now in. So even if the current incumbent power were to practice wholesale cheating and gerrymandering, daylight plundering, arm-twisting, thuggery, promise of bloodshed and violence, riding roughshod with scant regards to minorities sensitivities, massive unabated corruption, racist and religious bigotry or plunge us into a theocratic state....I will with my few fellow principled soulmates, still keep our principles and will make appropriate police reports on the all the wrongdoings and will follow through with the right action of having legal redress. If we march out in demonstration in the streets, we will follow rules and regulations...no more than the allotted 6 persons to a crowd. Or if push come to shove, we will still keep our dignity...we won't have our principles compromised...if no redress can be found in the courts, we can continue to write articles after articles and the world would take note. Never never ever resort to fight fire with fire, as this will burn the whole house down...always be gentlemanly and fight on principles as our names will go down in history that we fought straight and proper. Even if we were to remain as underdogs for the next 500 years or more, it is still worth it as we keep our principles.
