Fake news again?

Well, this time it's not about gourmet-priced kembong or kerang for a "Makcik" suffering from anaemia - BTW I hope she's well now.

all above nil gst unless you're from Pribumi or PKR, wakakaka

It's about the Pakatan agreed PM-designate and his deputy-designate, namely, Mahathir and Wan Azizah.

dei dei, don't get carried away, you're only the deputy

It appears that it's not just a faction of PKR which did NOT agree, but also PAN.

NST reported: PAN communications director Khalid Samad however said during the weekend retreat, the opposition pact had only discussed strategies to face the upcoming 14th General Election (GE14).

He said, the report which quoted a source, was false.

Khalid, who is the Shah Alam Member of Parliament, urged the news portal to reveal its source to ascertain the authenticity of the allegation.

“I want to stress here that there was no discussion on who will be our interim prime minister and deputy prime minister if Pakatan Harapan wins the GE14.

“I would like to ask the portal to name its source because only then we can find out if it was genuine or just a propaganda.

“If they refused to reveal (the source), we will take it as a provocation towards us (Pakatan Harapan),” he said when contacted.

The report, which was published yesterday, also claimed that only PKR has yet to reach a consensus on the matter.

It claimed Dr Wan Azizah had agreed to the proposal in principal, but was facing disagreement from a faction within her party.

PAN is of course Amanah, which has been smeared by its Mothership as a mandore of the DAP, so much so that even in Pakatan it's generally regarded as a 'budak kecil' of no consequences.

It's a sad awful attitude because in Amanah, you get many intellectual Muslim politicians, people like Dzulkefly Ahmad and Hanipa Maidin, etc, who should be embraced by Pakatan as valuable resources to moderate the 'ultras' in Malaysia.

KT note: BTW, ever since the Islamic intellectuals walked out of PAS to form Amanah, PAS has been deprived of 'thinkers'. The split within PAS resulting in the formation of Amanah (PAN) has been more like a 'brain transplant' wakakaka which has been why PAS politicians walk around like headless chooks.

Anyway, the insulting word 'mandore' has become quite popular in politics ever since Hindraf's Uthayakumar (of party HRP) used it against any Indian politician who didn't meet his expectation of an Indian-friendly Indian politician, namely, everyone outside Hindraf, wakakaka.

Yes, while PAS calls everyone outside its party a kaffir, and UMNO anyone outside its own Malay-dom a pendatang (or sympathiser of pendatang), Hindraf too has its pet word 'mandore'. I dare not know what Sabahans and Sarawakians call Peninsular politicians, wakakaka.

KT note: Pssst, a secret, Penangites called Mainlanders 'kuoi kang lang' which means 'people from across the river (or more correctly, Penang channel)', wakakaka.

left, Penang (Island) - right, Mainland

how those 'kuoi kang lang' come across to Penang

examples of 'kuoi kang lang', wakakaka

Well, Mahathir and Wan Azizah being nominated as Pakatan's PM-designate and deputy has been the fake news, which Khalid Samad described explicitly as:

'... the report which quoted a source, was false'

and

“I want to stress here that there was no discussion on who will be our interim prime minister and deputy prime minister if Pakatan Harapan wins the GE14.

“I would like to ask the portal to name its source because only then we can find out if it was genuine or just a propaganda.

“If they refused to reveal (the source), we will take it as a provocation towards us (Pakatan Harapan).”

I know the portal Khalid referred to, wakakaka.

But let's move on to PKR where all's not well regarding the topic, where the Star Online reported:

Pakatan, during a two-day retreat in Putrajaya, had announced its formal proposal to nominate Mahathir as prime minister and Dr Wan Azizah as deputy prime minister.

The decision did not bode well with several prominent Opposition leaders, among which was PKR vice-president Tian Chua.

He said such an important matter should not be made by a few people and suggested that it be taken back to respective parties for further discussion.

The choice of Dr Mahathir and Dr Wan Azizah was apparently agreed upon by the top five leaders, or G5, of Pakatan on the sidelines of the retreat.

G5 refers to Pakatan chairman Dr Mahathir, president Dr Wan Azizah and deputy presidents Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Lim Guan Eng and Mohamed Sabu.

I may be a 'Malay first-er' but as is rumoured I like, nay, syiok 'Chinese'

I have to say I have been surprised by Tian Chua's objection as he is aligned with Azmin Ali who is known to be supportive of 'Uncle' Maddy and ... wait wait ... I beg to go-starn (belakang pusing, ie. change my mind) about Tian Chua's disagreement with the reported pair of Mahathir and Wan Azizah as selected by G5.

While I still hold on to my belief Tian Chua is aligned/allied to Azmin Ali, I suspect his (Tian Chua's) disagreement could well be just about Wan Azizah (or could it be just her fan? wakakaka)

Methinks Tian Chua believes Azmin Ali should be the deputy PM-designate.

am depending on you, Tian

Tian Chua used to be totally devoted to Anwar but events and circumstances over the tumultuous years of Anwar could have convinced Tian Chua to re-adjust, which he did kau-kau, wakakaka.

  3. One doesn't have to be an intellectual to be spiritually and morally right; to practise the politics of truth and to be a servant to the rakyat.

  4. PAS was "purified" after most of the Professional types quit for PAN.

By the way, "Mandore" means Supervisor or Overseer. Not really insulting as it is.

  5. don't be so gory with your expression, the animal rights people will not take it kindly, why can't you say, now they are driving around in posh continental cars in circles but it gives the impression that they have arrived, will that be considered dosa, giving a false impression

indeed fake news are rampant, both sides are guilty as charged, but there are distinctions, some are outright fakes, some are half truths, consequently it is up to the individual to distinguish, the outcome is a more discerning society which is good

  6. incidentally, I notice you have also jumped into the fake news bandwagon, a call to duty perhaps, given that recently ah moi has been pleading to everyone not to believe in fake news

btw what's the difference between a spin doctor and a fake news provider... none... but both resides in Manchester

  8. Nowadays Penang is fully ruled by 'kuoi kang lang' - not just from Seberang, but parachuted from a long way away -
CM (Malacca) , DCM I (Muar) , DCM II (Sitiawan) , CM's likely eventual successor (KL) ....

The Islanders have been completely taken over, and none of them are in charge any longer.

I'm still unconvinced these fellas really have Penang's interests at heart...
