The Bugis Saga continues (2)

Malaysiakini - Azmin expects resolution to 'Bugis remark' furore (extracts):

f**k it, there's a barb-wired vice gripping my balls

Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali said he expected the controversy over Dr Mahathir Mohamad's "Bugis remark" would be resolved amicably soon and without need for media "interference."

"I am confident that the issue surrounding Mahathir's alleged slur aimed at the Bugis community can be resolved properly, tactfully and without interference from the media," he told reporters today outside the Selangor Legislative Assembly.

Azmin did not elaborate on what he meant by "interference" from the press. [...]

Azmin did not elaborate probably because he was 'shooting from the hips' or in Malaysian parlance, 'tembak kau kau'.

In essence Azmin was kok-talk-ing about 'media interference', wakakaka.

BN lawmakers had vowed to petition the Selangor palace after their motion to sanction Mahathir was rejected by the legislative assembly.

The motion also sought to bar Mahathir from using Selangor government facilities. [...]

Last week, Selangor ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah reprimanded Mahathir for his "Bugis remark" during a Harapan rally on Oct 14.

Sultan Sharafuddin said that he too had Bugis heritage, and took offence with Mahathir's comments.

The ruler also urged the police to probe Mahathir for sedition.

During the rally, Mahathir had suggested that Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak was descended from Bugis pirates.

After some claimed that this was an insult against all Bugis people, Mahathir clarified that his remark was aimed squarely at Najib.

Following this, BN lawmakers challenged Azmin to state if he supported the palace's position on Mahathir.

Poor Azmin's balls were caught between his Uncle Mahathir's loose lips and HRH's anger. Wakakaka.

But his deafening silence might not be too pleasing to HRH who would expect the state MB to at least defend his ethnic bloodline.
