MAIS kay-poh

Berita Daily - Masing: Why should DBP translate Bibles? (extracts):

My query is different from James Masing's.

MAIS is Selangor Islamic Religious Council so what the f**k does it have to do with Sarawak's Christian issues?

MAIS should not be so kay-poh (nosy).

Keep your grubby hands within Selangor's Islamic affairs.

  1. The "Allah" Christian controversy refuses to fade into The Night, regardless the Federal Court Ruling.

There is an authoritative translation of the Bible into Malay by Abdullah Munshi, no less, which uses Allah. They - Malaysian Government Authorities - be left looking like bloody idiots banning a more-than a century old-work by Abdullah Munshi.

There are , I suspect , and will still be attempts to impose a "Government-Sanctioned" Malay translation of the Bible which kills off the "Allah" usage.

And Yes, Sarawakian Christians residing in KL and Selangor are still using Allah every day, especially in Church, breaking the law, but keeping a low profile, unless JAIS choses to bare its fangs.

    1. it's not so much Abdullah Munshi being the author who translated God into Allah, but the sinister stealthy use of the word Allah by evangelistic Christians to infiltrate and subvert some Muslim minds. I have seen that done to Buddhists where a church claimed the Maitreya Buddha (Mi Lek Hud) was Jesus Christ. I have been probably one of ten few Chinese non-Muslims who objected to the Christian churches (not Christians per se) being allowed to use the word

  2. Wakakakaka....'the sinister stealthy use of the word'

Back to basics lah - if u believe in good deeds via a god, then be content with that PERSONAL & PRIVATE communion.

    Form is not the prerequisite!!

So which branch of the religion is irrelevant. Only fake do-gooders WOULD champion their own brand of faith.

Apa tu proselytising through whatsoever means - dakwa ke, mission ke, semua bohong!

Just blame yr blur-sotongness & long confidence about yr faith lah!

    1. you'v failed to respond to my accusations, that some evangelistic churches would deliberately misuse the word Allah to convince Muslims it's the same as the Islamic Allah to become Christians - that's what I meant by sinister stealthy use of that word, 'Allah'

    2. some evangelistic Christians had done it before with Buddhists, by lying about Maitreya Buddha being Christ. I never trust an evangelistic Church

    3. Proselytism involves two parties - a proposer & a respondent.

If the proposer tries to trick a respondent into believing an alternate faith then it's the will power of the respondent in holding on to his/her original following.

If he/she is easily swivel in changing to the new faith THEN he/she has only him/herself to blame!

      Is that answering yr accusation?

    6. Scams only become a legal issue if it involves cheating or misrepresentation over money, property, assets, goods or services.

Religious beliefs are a personal matter.

There are sufficient laws in Malaysia to prosecute any proselytization of other religions towards Muslims, and I am sure the authorities will enforce those laws with extreme vigour and energy in any proven case.

Other than that, the Malaysian government has no business interfering in the peaceful practice and propagation of religions in Malaysia, including Christianity.
That includes usage of "Allah" within the Christian community , if it so choses.

Its an open market for religious beliefs out there.

      Bahaism, anyone ?
      How about atheism ?
You could become rich and famous if you have the right skills and aptitude to propagate it.
