The 'Unprincipled'

MM Online - In next GE, Kit Siang predicts PH to win Perak with 39 seats (extracts):

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 20 — Pakatan Harapan stands a very strong chance of winning Perak in the general election should the coalition face three-cornered fights in all 59 seats in the state against Barisan Nasional and PAS, Lim Kit Siang said.

The veteran DAP leader predicts PH to secure 39 seats and BN taking the remaining with PAS winning none if the Opposition pact receives 10 per cent swing in the Malay vote along with 5 per cent more non-Malay support.

“It is not an easy task to bring about a swing of votes from Barisan Nasional in the 13GE to the Pakatan Harapan in the 14GE, but all patriotic Malaysians, regardless of race, religion, region or even politics, must unite to save Malaysia from becoming a failed and rogue state for the sake of our children and children’s children,” he said in a statement.

There are a couple of "if-s" in Lim Kit Siang's prediction, namely:

(a) PH receives 10% swing in the Malay vote along with 5% more non-Malay support, and ...

(b) Malaysians of ALL races, religions, regions or even politics, must be patriotic so as to unite to save Malaysia from becoming a failed and rogue state.

Let me comment on LKS' "if-s" as follows:

First of all, was LKS talking about a nationwide swing of Malay and non-Malay votes to PH, or was he talking about just Perak state?

He did mention 'Malaysians of ALL races, religions, regions ...', so was the 'regions' supposed to mean all 'regions' of Malaysia or all 'regions' of Perak state?

That's the impreciseness of LKS' political bullshit.

Anyway, 5% swing in non-Malay support may be a hard sell as virtually all (though not actually all) non-Malay support are already with Pakatan component parties, namely, DAP, PKR and Amanah.

Can DAP and PKR still wring blood from an already dry stone?

But non-Malay votes are not yet with Pribumi as it's only a newcomer though with an old detestable evil ketuanan policy.

Mind, not all is lost as some young Cinapeks and Indians love Mahathir as a new political Moses.

They are, as what Professor Khoo Kay Kim recently said, 'buta sejarah', failing to realise how the Old Man mutilated our hallowed public institutions like the independent Judiciary, non-aligned civil service and wasted our national resources on FOREX, Maminco, Perwaja, MAS, Proton, etc even including 'aiding' a failed shipping company.

Getting rid of Najib for alleged corruption is one thing but do we want to do that by replacing him with a known evil dictator who had done terrible things far worse than mere kleptocracy?

From the fire back into the sizzling hot frying pan?

As George Santayana advised: "Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it".

That Santanyana advice by the by applies to not only the young Cinapeks and Indians but also LKS himself as he ought to remember 1999 when he was kicked out by the Chinese for slutting around with a very feral intolerant PAS. Now he does it with a feral ultra ketuanan Mahathir.

LKS should remember that there is also sunset in his politics

As for a 10% swing in Malay votes, obviously LKS cannot rely on useless PKR but is depending on his old arch foe but current boyfriend, Mahathir, to work his old UMNO-but-now-Pribumi bullshit.

Can the old Dictator do it? Though he too ought to remember 1999 as he had to rely on his bête noire (particular object of dislike), namely, the bloody Chinese voters, to save his bigoted arse - then many Malays had rejected him for his vile treatment of Anwar Ibrahim. But typical of treacherous Mahathir, he f**k-ed the Chinese off after he retained his PM-ship, even unto telling Najib to ignore those Chinamen. Now he is back again to woo the Cinapeks.

As for LKS' second "if", namely, that Malaysians of ALL races, religions, regions or even politics, must be patriotic so as to unite to save Malaysia from becoming a failed and rogue state for our children and our children's children, he is desperately appealing.

BTW, have I told you how much I detested that much abused word 'patriotism' where Samuel Johnson told us: "Patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel".

Looks like LKS is a scoundrel clinging desperately on to his straw of 'patriotism', wakakaka.

Meanwhile, Azmin Ali too sluts around with Pakatan Harapan's enemy, PAS, and shows, regardless of his survival needs, he is NOT a person to be trusted by DAP or even PAS.

Politically promiscuous pariahs might harbour festering political HIV-AIDS which will spread to infect all component parties of PH.

Coincidentally today, I read The Malaysian Insight's Forget unprincipled parties, Amanah tells allies in which an quite angry Amanah (PAN) chided PH to stop courting unprincipled parties.

Hmmm, who does the term 'unprincipled parties' (note plurality in the word 'parties') refer to?

PKR? PAS? or even Pribumi (in reality UMNO Baru-er for good old Mukhriz's sake)? But I think we could include LKS as another "unprincipled party", wakakaka.

The Malaysian Insight reported that ... Perak Amanah chief Asmuni Awi said today, in an apparent reference to allies seeking a tie-up with PAS. [...]

The Islamist party has also been supportive of Umno lately.
"What we should do at this final stage before the next general election is strengthen PH."

“The past is gone. Don't waste time chasing those that have no backbone ," Asmuni said at the state Amanah's second convention.

His remarks are believed to be directed at some individuals in PKR who are open to forging a pact with PAS.

"We know 'those' better than others," said the former PAS treasurer.

Was he referring to Azmin Ali or even Wan Azizah? Wakakaka.

By the by, Azmin Ali who has shown us the unprincipled mannerism in his PKR-only slutting with PAS without involving or consulting PKR's Pakatan allies, has the brazen nerve to demand that Pribumi's discussion with Hindraf to include the Hindu-based party in PH must first be discussed within PH. Malaysiakini reported:

Persatuan Hindraf Malaysia (PHM) possible role as part of Pakatan Harapan's cause must be predicated by discussions by coalition members, said PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali.

"It needs to be first discussed among Harapan (leaders). We will have a presidential council meeting soon and if it is included in the meeting agenda, it will be the issue we will discuss," Azmin told reporters at Gombak, Selangor ...

Memang 'ni Azmin adalah seorang yang pandai double standards. Ia tidak mengerti peribahasa bahasa inggeris 'What's good for the goose is good for the gander'.

But then, Azmin is notorious for his Dökkálfar go-it-alone self-interest treachery. He demonstrated that when he stabbed the DAP in the back during the last Sarawak state election - for more, see my post PKR signals war to DAP in Sarawak.

Thus of late, it seems the only "principled" political parties seem to be Amanah (PAN) and PSM.

Don't believe me? Ask Aneh Commander (retd) TLDM S Thayaparan, wakakaka.

  2. PAS' principle is simple: Not to work with DAP or PAN and their allies. Very clear.

Perak will stay under BN. LKS still didn't learn from his big mistake in Sarawak state election and the two by-elections. He should retire from politics and sell toto prediction numbers

TDM is 10 times worst than 1MDB and thus LKS using TDM is not going to work in any malay majority area. TDM or LKS will not win even if PH put them in Kubang Pasu.
