Pribumi's Actor Extraordinaire

Malaysiakini has published an article by FA Abdul on Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman, the pandai cakap banyak bloke from Mahathir's Pribumi Party, though I spent a considerable amount of time tracking it down, wakakaka.

I thought it had been withdrawn which would have broken my heart as I have considerable trust in Malaysiakini. Anyway, that article is titled
And the award for best actor goes to….

Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman is another Tan Keng Liang (Gerakan Party) who would talk on anything, about everything, and to our utter frustration, incessantly, wakakaka.

In his non-stop nerve-wrecking nattering Syed has not confined his pompous pathetic philosophy to Pribumi affairs but also to areas associated closely with Pribumi or Mahathir, for example, to how Azmin Ali is a "fantastic" MB of Selangor and how a Chinese security worker, also a DAP member, David 'someone', protected Malays during the recent fracas at the Nothing2Hide forum.

That FA Abdul article, just published yesterday, described Syed Saddiq for his glib gab as an award-deserving "actor" in perhaps the wishful mode of Shah Rukh Khan).

Syed Saddiq in praising a Chinese security worker protecting Malays as if he (Syed) is a multiracialist when in reality he belongs to a party, namely, Pribumi an ultra bumiputera-only ketuanan party, which no Chinese can ever join, has caused Fatima (FA Abdul) to have, in her own words, .... an upset stomach yesterday and (who) almost vomited out of pure disgust.

FA Abdul wrote that Pribumi Youth chief Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman ... went all teary and super emotional upon telling reporters how a Chinese DAP worker protected a group of Malays from getting hurt by using his own body as a shield.

“You say there is racism… but…” said Syed Saddiq, very much in his character, almost as good as Shah Rukh Khan.

and the award goes to Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman

thunderous applause from Azmin

First of all, let me just say how sickening it is for a representative of a party that was formed along the lines of Umno, featuring ex-members of Umno, to have the nerve to even talk about racism when non-bumiputera members of the party are denied the rights to vote and contest for party positions.

I get it. The representatives of Bersatu
(Pribumi) and its supporters are under the opinion that the party has to remain pro-Malay in order to gain the support of the Malays who are, sad to say, very communal.

But if right is right and wrong is wrong, why do we take the wrong path to achieve what is right?

Racism is wrong.

The truth is, in my honest opinion, the 14th general election (GE14) should not be entirely about flushing Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak out. It should instead be about carving the path towards a better Malaysia.

Seriously, do we think everything would be rosy once Najib is gone? How about racism, religious bigotry and extremism, which have crept so deep into our society?

There are greater things happening in the streets of Malaysia than corruption, power abuse and the economic downfall.

Thanks Fatimah dahleeeng, my exact thoughts, though for making such a stand (thus against supporting a dictator like Mahathir which would be like moronically leaping from the fire back into the sizzling hot frying pan) I have been accused of being an Ah Jib Gor lover, supporter and dedak-fed cybertrooper, wakakaka.

And now perhaps a word or two from history:

‘Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not’ - Jeremiah 5:21 (circa 630 - 590 BCE)

There are none are so blind as those who will not see - John Heywood (1546).

‘There are none so blind as those who will not see. The most deluded people are those who choose to ignore what they already know’ - Jonathan Swift (1738)

But that unfortunately has been the idiotic thinking of political enthusiasts in Malaysia, wakakaka, despite warnings from many respectable political observers about the abysmal folly of supporting a draconian despicable dictator like Mahathir with his half century of pompous but pathetic profligate meddling with our hallowed institutions (Judiciary, Senate, Civil Service, PM-ship) and national resources (Maminco, FOREX, BMF, Perwaja, MAS, Proton, etc) and terrible cases like Memali, Project Blue IC, etc.

Anyway, back to our Malaysian version of Shah Rukh Khan - in other words, Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman is not only a cakap banyak sort of bloke but also, from FA's observation and logic, a hypocrite with amazing acting ability.

It's not so much he has been hypocritical about the Chinese DAP security person but hasn't he been selling his snake-oil to the Malaysian voters in a pathetically shallow and insubstantial way?

Continuing with FA Abdul's article:

Of course it is easier to blame Najib for all the flaws we encounter daily in our personal life as well as those we read of others on the media. But the truth remains that we are structurally fragile as a nation, with or without Najib.

Appearing to fight racism only to support it in disguise is clearly not how we strengthen our nation, nor is it the right way to build a better Malaysia.

Think about it, if only the incident during the forum involved a Malay security worker instead of a Chinese, would it still be newsworthy? Would Syed Saddiq praise the Malay man, like he did the Chinese?

Turning a man into a hero simply because he is of a different race – now that’s racism, really.

In the words of my dear friend, Farouk A Peru, perhaps instead of selling us the story of a noble Chinese protecting the Malays, Syed Saddiq should work towards granting non-Malays full membership in Bersatu
(Pribumi), if he truly believes in racism-free Malaysia.

If Syed Saddiq is incapable of doing that, then he is just another actor, like the ones we’ve seen so often in Najib’s cabinet.
Amin.

you think he likes Malays?

  2. All these flowery cockagroo r resonating amongs those bleeding hearts to syiok their political-correctness mindsets!

They r good for the ivory tower dissertation. When they r applying to the real live practices, they ALWAYS cause more hardships than originally intended.

These type of opinions belongs to the political-correctness dustbin even though they sound 'righteousness' to the general public!

Historically they form parts of the blood-earned lessons of

    圣賢大儒,高言动人,社会治理,一塌糊涂。

The necessity arts of 乱世治国 DOESN'T require bleeding heart approaches.

Instead 大逆不道 can sometime be the necessity of a game changer for a better future!

But for these 'do-gooders', how could they understand as talks r cheap & easy!!!

  3. "There are greater things happening in the streets of Malaysia than corruption, power abuse and the economic downfall."

    I disagree.
Corruption and power abuse are the "Mother of All" evils. The magnitude of personal gain involved for the leaders is so huge, they will do ANYTHING to remain in power to preserve the cornucopia.

The promotion of racism, religious bigotry and extremism are used as political levers to stay in power, regardless of the cost.

One need look no further than Najib, who is a master practitioner of racism and religious extremism as a means to maintain power. BTN and JAKIM budgets have grown tremendously under Najib's tenure.

Don't ever call Najib a moderate - that is a lie.

I have mentioned in previous posts how a leader's Budget allocations are a reflection of his policy priorities.

Corruption and Abuse of power have reached titanic proportions in Malaysia, which will lead to Zimbabwe-like status if left unchecked.
