A step too far? (2)

Did you read my previous post A step too far? of 03 June 2017?

Well, today on waking up from my 'beauty sleep', wakakaka, I read MM Online's Mais wants Chegu Bard to retract statement that Selangor palace is playing partisan politics which says (extracts):

Badrul Hisham Shaharin better known as CheguBard

SHAH ALAM, June 8 ―Solidariti Anak Muda Malaysia (SAMM) founder Badrul Hisham Shaharin has been urged to withdraw his statement alleging that the Selangor palace is playing partisan politics.

Badrul Hisham or better known as Chegu Bard alleged this was evident by the use of a surau in Jalan Kebun, Klang, by PAS recently.

The allegation was made via an article entitled "Open Letter To Selangor Palace' in his blog on Tuesday.

Selangor Islamic Council (Mais) chairman Datuk Mohamad Adzib Mohd Isa said the article written by Badrul Hisham was unfounded since the surau was converted into a knowledge centre since March.

"The blog said PAS used the surau as a retreat for the party's election machinery. A check by Mais found that the surau was closed after Masjid Al Falah, Jalan Kebun (near the surau) began operation on March 30.

"The function of the surau (building) has been changed to that of a knowledge centre with the consent of the Selangor Islamic Department. It is rented out to the public for programmes to cover the operating costs of the mosque," he said in a statement, here today.

Mohamad Adzib urged Badrul Hisham to remove his statement within 24 hours or face action by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) under the Defamation Act 1957.

Aha, MAIS in damage control. Nice to see them working to 'protect' HRH.

In the previous post, I had written about the political tarring and feathering of poor Sivarasa (PKR) via the royal rebuke.

I said (extracts):

Azmin still hopes to have a secret alliance with PAS as PKR itself is pathetically weak and in internal disarray, and won't survive well in the coming GE-14.

There had been constant pressure from DAP for PAS, now a de facto squatter party, to exit the state exco in decent a.s.a.p. The DAP pressure on PAS was in itself a humongous indirect pressure on Azmin as MB to do something instead of sucking up to the Moon party, so Azmin did some Edward de Bono and fell back on the state's 'sacred cow', namely HRH.

It so happens that constitutionally HRH has his royal prerogative in appointing and removing excos in accordance with Article 53(7) of the Selangor state constitution.

But the key word is 'constitutionally', though what can you do when HRH chose to take Article 53(7) and those governing the appointment of the MB, namely, Article 51 (1), Article 53 (2)(a), Article 51 (2), Article 53 (4) literally, meaning he intends to exercise them as per the wordings and to ignore the constitutionality of his role altogether, wakakaka.

And within a Malay Heartland context, who dares to tell or argue with a 'sacred cow' that his actions have not been constitutional?

So Azmin's appointment as MB (against the advice of the majority ruling Pakatan or its component parties of PKR and DAP) is a subject closed and likewise with the bizarre continuing tenure of PAS ADUNs in an exco run by its enemy Pakatan.

But wait, there is more, wakakaka.

HRH has just singled out poor Sivarasa of PKR for a royal blasting, basting and baking, wakakaka.

While I don't intend to split hairs on whether Sivarasa has violated HRH's edict on no political speech to be delivered in mosques and suraus in the state, I in my personal humble opinion, believe HRH might have gone a step too far in singling out a particular politician for excruciating public criticism.

In doing so, HRH has unnecessarily tarred and feathered poor Sivarasa politically (especially for the coming elections) and thus has unwittingly put one toe into the political arena.

HRH could have easily passed his royal displeasure through his palace secretary or the MB, though I suspect the latter might have done a Pontius Pilate.

'Nuff said.

M'Nuff said above had been a humongous hidden hint that I don't wish to be embroiled in a matter involving a Malaysian sacred cow (to wit, HRH), as the Malays would likely take umbrage that a Cinakui like kaytee had the brazen audacious temerity (biadap) to tutor HRH on apolitical protocols.

[that's right, I would then, at least momentarily, cease being a loyal Malaysian citizen who had served the nation for years at the 'sharp end' but automatically assume my disgusting status as a Cinakui of 2nd class citizen caste, courtesy of Mahathir's BTN indoctrination, wakakaka]

As I explained to some visitors to my blog, it's too fierce and unnecessarily stark and menacing (to poor Sivarasa) for HRH Selangor to personally and publicly castigate the PKR bloke.

As a royal within a world that is a constitutional monarchy, the absolute-type (medieval) royal reprimand [though a 'Lite' form of 'off with his head'] doesn't look good coming from a modern constitutional ruler.

A monarch is a personality of exalted 'regal' bearing, expressing his unhappy thoughts (angst, anger, annoyance, etc) in quiet dignity only through his palace secretaries or to his MB or via a palace tete-a-tete to the head of Sivarasa's political party, namely, Wan Azizah or, in her immediate absence, then to Azmin Ali who coincidentally is also the MB.

Did Azmin on meeting HRH prior to HRH's royal reprimand wash his hands off a la Pontius Pilate? I won't be surprised at all.

Gov', the water basin is ready for you to wash your hands off this Judean mess

From Matt 27:1-2, 15 - 25

Now at that feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would.

And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.

Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?

For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.

When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.

But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.

The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.

Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.

And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.

When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

As they say, a royal quiet 'word to the wise' is sufficient [Verbum sapienti satis est], and Sivarasa would have been rightly and sufficiently chastened but without losing his personal and public political dignity.

Now that CheguBard has stirred up the royal shit-pot and embarrassed HRH (and only a Malay could do that as Mahathir's UMNO did so in 1992, and now Chegubard), the Islamic advisers of HRH are forced into 'battle station' to contain the damaging fallout, but I suspect will likely strike back with names-dropping tactics.

I wonder what will Azmin Ali as MB do as CheguBard has long been expelled from PKR.

Extracts from my post (22 Nov 2010) titled PKR party election - the horror stories continue

Badrul Hisham Shahrin, a popular personality better known as Chegubard. In a letter to Dr Wan Azizah (at her request), he accused Anwar of intervening in polls.

Chegubard told Dr Wan about Kota Marudu PKR Youth chief, Dr Jurin Gunsalam, who was informed by his division chief Anthony Mandiau that Anwar had instructed him who to vote for.

Chegubard also revealed that some candidates were allowed to contest even though their names were sent in after the deadline.

He stated: “When a verbal complaint was made to the election officer, the complainant was asked if he was a supporter of Badrul Hisham. A written complaint has since been ignored.”

He added that though the Tampin division had nominated him and running mate Chang Lih Kang, somehow that nomination went to their contenders, Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin and Khairul Anuar Zainuddin.

As with other polling complaints, his report too has thus far elicited no response.

His election agents reported the same mystery we've already heard, that the number of counted votes at a station were more than the actual turnout, which led Chegubard to remind us that in Kubang Pasu (see my earlier post Zaid Ibrahim - suffers no fool gladly), the number of counted votes was almost 3 times more than the actual turnout – UMNO, eat your hearts out!

Chegubard told us the same story, that the phantom votes were actually (indirectly) admitted by the election committee when they had to call a Zaid Ibrahim’s representative to negotiate on how to split the total votes wakakaka.

Indeed, Chegubard, I asked the same question too, namely what kind of solution was this? In fact let's go one step further, what kind of poll was this?

He gave us more horror stories about the polling in Teluk Intan and Sabah, where the actual turnout at Sandakan and Libaran was only about 200, and not the official figures of 898 in Libaran and 456 in Sandakan. Incidentally Azmin Ali was the winner where he ‘swept’ virtually (almost) 100% of the votes at Libaran, Sandakan, Tawau and Tenom.

Chegubard said the votes for Sandakan and Libaran were not tallied at the polling centre and, like at Kubang Pasu, the candidates' agents were not allowed to be present during the counting process wakakaka!

  1. i think is fine to pick an easy target like sivarasa, just like u always 'commend' azmin or pkr, for instance, this article main topic seem to be sivarasa though party election is not that relevant, but as long as u find a chance to talk abt azmin, u will be happy to establish a linkage. step too far? 2x5 kot. kalu no mirror use water la.
