Hard-up sour grapes

I first saw Selma Hayek in Tarantino's From Dawn to Dusk (1996), oolala, and immediately became her fan, wakakaka.

She has since then gone on to achieve greatness in Hollywood with such films as Frida (2002) in which she played the role of Mexican painter Frida Kahlo. Amazing.

Now she has something to tell us about a so-called bigshot in America who has been more of a big mouth, wakakaka - so see below as reported by the Malay Mail Online:

LOS ANGELES, Oct 22 — Those “tiny hands” have been up to more no good and this time Salma Hayek claims that Donald Trump planted a tabloid story about her after she turned out a date with him.

According to Buzzfeed, Hayek revealed in a recent radio interview that Trump had tried to court her despite knowing that she was in a relationship at the time.

“When I met that man, I had a boyfriend, and he tried to become his friend to get my home telephone number. He got my number and he would call me to invite me out.”

Hayek went on to say that Trump planted a tabloid story about her supposedly calling her “too short” when she turned him down.

“When I told him I wouldn't go out with him even if I didn't have a boyfriend, [which he took as disrespectful], he called — well, he wouldn't say he called, but someone told the National Enquirer,” she continued.

“Someone told the National Enquirer — I’m not going to say who, because you know that whatever he wants to come out comes out in the National Enquirer. It said that he wouldn't go out with me because I was too short.”

“Later, he called and left me a message. ‘Can you believe this? Who would say this? I don’t want people to think this about you’,” she said. “He thought that I would try to go out with him so people wouldn't think that’s why he wouldn't go out with me.”

An outspoken Hillary Clinton supporter, this isn’t the first time Hayek has openly spoken about her disapproval of Trump.

sour grapes = vinegar - halal?

Wiki says:
Vinegar is a liquid consisting of about 5–20% acetic acid (CH3COOH), water, and other trace chemicals, which may include flavorings. The acetic acid is produced by the fermentation of ethanol by acetic acid bacteria

Question: The ingredients of some foods contain items which are denoted by the letter “E” and a string of numbers. We were told that this denotes items manufactured from Lard or Pork bone and marrow. If this is true, what is the Shari’a ruling on such foods?

Answer: The items which carry the letter “E” and a string of numbers are additives. Additives are more than 350 compounds, and could be either preservatives, colouring, flavourings, sweeteners, etc. These are divided into four groups according to their origin:

First: compounds of artificial chemical origin.

    Second: compounds of vegetal origin

    Third: compounds of animal origin

    Fourth: compounds dissolved in Alcohol

The ruling on all these compounds is that they do not affect the status of these foods being Halal, due to the following:

The first and second groups are Halal because they originate from a permissible origin and no harm comes from using these items.

The third group is also Halal, because the animal origin does not remain the same during the process of manufacturing. In fact it is transformed radically from its original form to a new clean and pure form through a process called “chemical transformation”. This transformation also affects the legal ruling on such ingredients. Therefore, if the original form was unclean or Haram, the chemical transformation changed it to another ingredient which requires a new ruling. For instance, if alcohol changed and was transformed to vinegar, then it does not remain Haram, but carries a new ruling according to the nature of the new product, which is Halal.

As for the fourth group, these items are usually colourings and are normally used in extremely small quantities which dissolves in the final product form, which deems it an excused matter.
Therefore, any foods or drinks that contain any of these ingredients remains Halal and permissible for the Muslim’s consumption. We must also remember that our religion is a religion of ease and that we have been forbidden from making matters inconvenient and hard. Moreover, searching and investigating into such matters is not what Allah (swt) or His Messenger (ppbuh) ordered us to do.

In Islam 'istihalah' is halal, however, if we have any products produced from 100% halal ingredients/sources, then we should give it a priority over similar 'istihalah' products. This is to avoid any 'syubahah' or perhaps 'was was' status when Muslims consumed 'istihalah' products.

    Wallah hu aklam.

  2. Wakakaka....take the following as part of a "novel" and if it turn out true, try to give it a deeper thought if you can.

A few hundreds year ago a Chinese Court Officer wrote a poem which many today interpreted as predictions for today events. Many descriptions fitted today events. One such description said DT will win the election but doesn't have the "luck" to fulfill it and leading to USA getting its first woman president come the "coronation" day. The precedent case of BO was correctly "forecasted", so far all the timing are correct (the Chinese have a peculiar specific way to denote the months, years, seasons etc) pending the "actors" .......wakakaka
