The divorce proceedings between a former deputy public prosecutor and his wife concerning her alleged affair with former deputy prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin has ended with the official dissolution of the marriage.
Stanley Clement Augustin and Nika Gee Siew Yee had agreed to dissolve their marriage today at the High Court in Kuala Lumpur.
"The marriage has dissolved by consent with immediate effect. The case is over," Augustin's lawyer S Periasamy told reporters after leaving the chambers at the High Court today.
He said this was the joint statement from himself and Gee's counsel, Choo Dee Wei.
