KUALA LUMPUR, July 7 — International business daily Wall Street Journal (WSJ) needs to provide at least four trustworthy witnesses to back its graft allegations against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang said.
Citing the same position his party took in Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s sodomy case, Hadi said Islam dictates that these four witnesses are necessary to validate the newspaper’s report last week which claimed that some US$700 million (RM2.6 billion) from state investor 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) had been channelled to Najib’s private accounts.
“Our stand is the stand of Islam. If four witnesses are needed for Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s case, then it is the same with the allegations against Najib, there has to be witnesses...fair witnesses.
“We follow the fundamentals of Islam, what is good we support, what is not we oppose,” Hadi was quoted saying in Astro Awani today after performing tarawih prayers at a Ramadan event in Kota Baru.

Hmmm, what about documentary evidence and such proof?
We take it that in a rape or murder case, Pak Haji Hadi Awang will continue to insist on 4 witnesses, and to f*s with stuff like DNA, CCTV, fingerprints on the murder weapon, sperm and pubic hair at the scene, etc.

Suggest Jibkor go to Haddi's mosque and take an oath of innocence in the presence of Pas Ulama Council. Then Pas can officially pronounce PM is innocent.

ReplyDeleteSimple. You will need 4 sets of original documents and not 4 certified true copies. For other evidence, you will need like DNA from 4 different sources, video evidence from 4 CCTV's, 4 fingerprints from the murder weapon and must have at least 4 sperm count and 4 pubic hairs. Have I missed anything out?

DeleteFrom the above, I did not hear anything wrong from Hadi. For Anwar – Liwat is considered hudud, so there must be four saksi. In case of Najib – it is not hudud – kena ada dua saksi.

So, it looks like for the PM's case, evidence would need to be in 2's instead of 4's. That would mean getting nailed easier, wouldn't it? Oh dear.
DeleteIt is the quality not the quantity. That's make it difficult to nail the accused.
DeleteQuality is quite subjective and should have a standard to compare with while quantity is very specific. Perhaps that is why it is difficult to get a conviction.
