Denied their Lord thrice 'ere the Psy cock crowed

This is a short post, a quickie so to speak, wakakaka.

So, let us hope the dust would have settled own after the BN debacle in its 'Open House' in Penang.

look at Najib's face - not happy lah

Forget about the missing Psy in the yee-sang embarrassment.

I attribute that to a too clever by half MCA official ('described' variously as a minister and then a lady official, wakakaka) who hope to bodek Najib by ad lib-ing to the program but instead embarrassed the PM. Better take a quick tour out of Malaysia, wakakaka.

Forget about the pro Pakatan crowd who responded negatively to Najib's call to support BN into Putrajaya.

I blame it on Najib for misreading the crowd as one which would have been happy with 'sehelai kain pelikat & RM100'.

We must admit Najib has this propensity to fall into such a mental rut, believing in his own 'wa tolong sama lu, lu tolong sama wa'. For more, please read my May 2010 post Malaysian meaning of 'gratitude'.

I believe that, had he not asked the crowd that silly question, not once but thrice, he might have emerged from the event as at least half a winner, but alas, he lost it all by asking.

But now the question that begs to be asked is: "WHERE WAS THE PRO BN CROWD?"

Yes, where were the MCA and Gerakan and even UMNO supporters who could have responded yes yes yes to Najib's questions?

an unhappy Penang experience for the despondent-looking couple
dei, they wore red as suggested by Lim GE, wakakaka

Like the Apostle Peter in the Bible, they denied their Lord thrice before the Psy cock (wakakaka) crowed (or rapped, wakakaka).

Those BN blokes were like Jesus' apostles, denying Najib when he needed them most, with apologies to Matthew 26:33-35 (KJV) paraphrased as follows:

Peter MCA-Gerakan answered and said unto him Najib, Though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended.

Jesus Najib said unto him MCA-Gerakan (after the 'Open House' debacle, wakakaka), Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the (Psy, wakakaka) cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.

Peter MCA-Gerakan said unto him Najib, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.

And like Peter denying his Lord, they denied their UMNO Lord by being diam saja.

... indeed, with apologies to those offended by my naughty use of the biblical passage to illustrate a case of the BN supporters denying their 'Lord'.

Otherwise, those so-called BN supporters and members could have, like the US Calvary, presented a more vociferous counter to the pro Pakatan responses, to leave a happy Penang CNY experience for their UMNO Lord.

not a good start for Najib in the Year of the Water Snake

Alamak, those BN supporters were MIA (missing or lost in action, or more correctly, just bloody lost their voice, wakakaka).

I'm sure there must be some (if fact, likely to more than just 'some') MCA and Gerakan supporters. But I suspect they suddenly became mute and blind to Najib's embarrassment because they have already placed a foot on the Pakatan boat and didn't want to rock it, wakakaka.

And this, the triple denial of their UMNO Lord, ought to be the question BN should now be asking.

Amen.

  1. In truth, there were both "No" and "Yes" answers to Najib's rethorical question, but from different parts of the crowd.

There was a tented area with chairs, where only those holding passes were admitted. These were BN supporters bused in from near and far, as well as people connected to the Federal Government agencies. The rest of the crowd stood in the sun.
The "No" video was taken from the back of the field, the "Open Air" crowd.
3 days later (hahahahaha) BN came up with a "Yes" video, taken from the tented area.
RPK's question as to which video to believe is making an incorrect assumption - because both videos are actually true - just taken from different parts of the crowd, reflective of Malaysia's apartheid-like governance.

I had friends and relatives in both areas of the crowd, that's how I pieced together the story.
Anyway, its the "No" video posted on YouTube within 30 minutes of the incident which shapes public perception.
Najib was effectively ambushed, and he needs to fire some of his bodeking advisors and media aides. The BN/UMNO cyber-warfare unit was sleeping or maybe drinking too much (non-Alcoholic) Grape Juice.

  2. Forget about the "yes" or "no" part... If our bosses were allowed to stand around like that while trying to getting Psy to toss yee sang.. the MC that keeps going on... wrong signals to remove the table, then place it back to finally get the final wave by PM to take it away (read disgust on his face).... we won't be around when work starts again..

Whoever thought of the idea to get "star" power was on another planet (hope it wasn't pillow whispers since other connected friends have also introduce Paris Hilton, Shah Rhuk Khan etc. They say its always a gal that leads to a man's downfall). Give it to the old dog Tun... he just brings the heavy hitters with its rhetorics & politics all the way to the finish line. Without prior arrangement and signing on the dotted line, Psy just gave the middle finger and went to have dinner in Tanjung Tokok.

  3. What happened to the fantasy from Yen Yen about dancing with Psy? And putting Penang on the world map too? Will the couple of millions spent be just a momentary few minutes display of a one-hit that will pass on as a forgotten fad like the macarena etc...

  4. Boyoboyoboy - didn't know that you carry a mean, sadistic streak on you, KT - rubbing salt on the wound with such glee! hahaha Now Buttercup will be feeling most assuredly unamused.

  5. I feel very disappointed - DAP supporters should not have humiliated the PM in such a public and uncompromising way.
They may dislike Najib and oppose BN policies - that is their right, but shaming a high official visiting Penang on the 2nd day of Chinese New Year was a very un-Chinese and un-Malaysian act.

The majority of the audience were Penang Chinese youths - sorry to say, it reveals possibly serious deficiencies in how their parents taught them basic courtesy and manners.

The Hokkien phrase "Boe Kar See" is a sad reflection on the parents.

    1. Jelutong Pek,

      Respect is earn, not given.

As a parent, if you like teaching your kids to respect the murderers, looters, liars, robbers and thieves, that is your choice. Please don't go around lecturing people about your "own moral" standing of worshiping the devils.

Since, you have taught your children to give respect to leaders, my guess, your children will be cheering and jumping all the way in Perkasa ceramah.

    2. I'm not sure how your parents brought you up, but when I was growing up, basic manners and courtesy were a given.

The Chinese have a 4,000 year old culture and a deep regard for politeness and courteous behaviour.
Youngsters who don't know basic manners are shaming their parents and their ancestors.

It has nothing to do with whether a person supports Perkasa or DAP.

    3. What I observed is that even in modern times, most youngsters as you called them, generally DO have basic manners.

But coming back to the Psy event in Penang, the whole event reeked of partisanship and very obvious vote-buying attempt. BN supporters were given special invitation cards and were ushered to special 'front-seat premier' tented areas, with the rest of the "ungratefuls" milling around unprotected under the hot sun. And when the PM, who was unfortunately seen to be linked to the Altantuya murder case and yet taking no concrete step to clear his name once and for all; this PM...who suddenly seemed to lose his glib tongue and become quiet as a mouse when Perkasa exhort people to burn holy books; this PM....who seemed to be deaf and blind to the divisive racist rantings of Ibrahim Ali and his patron; this PM...who allows Umno's mouthpiece Utusan Meloya to blast in bold headlines falsehood and seditious writings....so, at this political Psy event ( yes, it IS a political event no less, let's not pretend otherwise ), when this PM cluelessly asked THREE TIMES 'are you with BN?", WTF do you expect these youngsters to reply ? The 'sheeps' in the tented areas have dutifully trotted out the required answer but surely this clueless PM is not also expecting this sort of Umno-worshipping sucking up from these 'ingrates' pendatang step children ?

The issue of basic manners is not relevant in this sort of situation.

Your thinking is just like me. Please refer to my previous posting. Bravo to you. Yeah kurang ajar. Mak bapak tak ajar.

    Anon 7.35 pm.
Thanks for the caring of my feeling.
Buttercup is not offended. He is a political animal. Like politicians, he has a tough hide.
Buttercup has moved on. He is looking forward to the coming GE when Pakatan with the exception of DAP Penang will be shamed by the voters. Bookmark this okay.
Najib will be laughing. And he can ask three times and the answer in unison will be Yes, Yes, Yes. So you guys better laugh now cause you will cry later.
Buttercup who is a great reader of MSM chose to ignore that so-called shamed incident. Act as though it never happened. This too shall passed. HAha.
And Buttecup is angry with the Gerakan Teng for offering silly excuses that PSY has been threatened with attempted assassination of PSY which led to his absence from Yee Sang-ing with the PM and BN gang.
Buttercup would like to ask why is our PM so fond of asking Suka BN and such like. It's okay to do it in Umno functions as the answer will be what he wants to hear. No-No for public dos.
Don't repeat that at public functions where kids who are not eligible to vote are saying No.

    P.S. Warning:
Buttercup is pretty and happy as the sunshine but toxic if eaten..

  7. It is pretty obvious now that Penangite would rather have "Sai" (shit in Penang Hokkien dialect) than to have BN

  8. there r both yes n no crowd, as reflected in the peoples supports of both political divide, or among blog is the same, what is wrong to state our political stand? i will definitely respond with a no.

the problem is with some hypocrite, when the readers hail them as hero and go along with their line of reasoning, they pretend not to hear any of their fanboy cuss and derogatory term even when shout direct / inexplicit toward them, and this can go on for 10 years or more, but the moment the fanboy no more cheers this hypocrite, they show their true color by name calling others as prostitute, attack others race n culture, n giving stupid excuse like he/she no politician, the best part is from time to time this hypo talk about principles as if he/she is one. learn from our psy fan what honesty is about la.

  9. Whether you like it or hate it, the facts remains that many people enjoy the show which couldn’t have materialize if not for BN. Only those jealousies find faults with BN imperfection.

  11. Jelutong Pek. Who cares if you were disappointed or not. He asked a question, we answered. The answers were from the hearts. This has nothing to do with manners. You asked a question, we answered. Only hypocrites like you will give a false answer just to please him. You cannot blame anyone but his stupid act that backfired.

  12. Kaytee, most of our politicians are screwed, really heavily upside down screwed in and out.Esecially those whom have in power for a longer period of time.

They think that their grandparents owned whatever is standing and can be counted in the land of the bolehs.Basically they are correct,at least that is what they think. But hey,who can blame them, especially since they have their heads stuck in a donkeys ass for ages.

  13. The in-Psy-dent is just syiok-sendiri for DAP supporters. It has no bearing on the outcome of GE13.

Penang is well-known as a Black area for BN. I give credit to Najib for refusing to write-off the BN effort in Penang and courageously walking into the lion's den, as they say.
The real battlegrounds are in Selangor and Kedah, and that's where Pakatan is heading for a defeat. East Malaysia and Johor is just hot air.
The Chinese establishment is being wooed this Sunday by Najib appearing as the principal guest at Dong Zong's Chinese New Year open house.
As other commentators here have remarked, there are now many more Chinese fence-sitters who are willing to listen rationally to what the PM and BN have to offer.

    1. wakakaka, the more I studied the Bible (for more than 17 years) the more I became convinced being an atheist has been the correct decision.

As Adrian D'Hage, Australian author of The Omega Scroll, The Beijing Conspiracy, The Maya Codex and The Inca Prophecy, a man who holds an honours degree in theology, said: He entered his studies as a committed Christian but graduated as a person 'of no fixed religion' wakakaka.

Either we live by accident and die by accident, or we live by plan and die by plan. Some say that we shall never know and that to the gods we are like the flies that the boys kill on a summer day, and some say, on the contrary, that the very sparrows do not lose a feather that has not been brushed away by the finger of God ...

But soon we shall die ... and we ourselves shall be loved for a while and forgotten. But the love will have been enough; all those impulses of love return to the love that made them. Even memory is not necessary for love. There is a land of the living and a land of the dead and the bridge is love, the only survival, the only meaning."
