EC ensures UMNO will win

In my previous post Cowering Malaysians, I showed my disgust with so-called God fearing people in the EC, after a report from The Malaysian Insider (TMI) One rural vote worth six urban ballots, favours BN: Analysts revealed that:

The Election Commission’s (EC) drawing of electoral boundaries makes a rural voter worth an average of six urban voters, biasing elections towards Barisan Nasional (BN) as it is stronger in the countryside.

With dishonest partiality towards a political party I questioned the EC's integrity, and doubted their God fearing status. They have a lot to answer to their God on Judgement Day, unless of course they are not worried about this, being atheists.

Even now I still spit on these despicable creatures, knowing that Allah swt would bless me.

A visitor to my blog, with the pseudonym of Buttercup, being a pro UMNO person, naturally defended the UMNO-linked EC, commenting (extracts relevant to topic only):

Preparing for Pakatan's impending loss, eh. Well, better accept it that BN will win big this time. No point giving excuses after excuses with EC as the bad boy.

I must grudgingly concede Buttercup will be proven correct because an example of the gerrymandering revelation published in TMI is the undeniable indisputable fact that Putrajaya, where almost all voters are government servants who are pro UMNO, needs only 6,008 voters to make up a federal constituency, while Kapar, whose voters are known to be pro Pakatan, has sardine-zed 112,000 voters into one single federal constituency.

6008 pro-UMNO voters have a say in federal parliament equal to 112,000 not pro-UMNO. The EC has endowed UMNO with a handicap of 20 against one. Thus this favourable odds for UMNO will certainly ensure UMNO (f* those MCA, Gerakan and MIC kutus) wins big, as predicted by Buttercup, to become the majority party in parliament.

Forget about anak jantan, as this must be one of those glorious achievements by 'Towering UMNO-sian' capons.

With such brazen cheating, surely the slogan of the White Afrikaan-ish 'Ketuanan Melayu' may be realized again and again.

But Allah swt will be waiting for all of you who have been and still are complicit in dishonestly stacking the election cards in favour of UMNO.

  1. One for you and six for me - this is fair whaaaat! Why people complain so much! This is how we (umno) do our distribution of votes and wealth of the nation. How much more equitable do you expect us to be? So ungrateful one! Niamah!

  2. BN will stay put and cling to power at whatever cost. Their latest shameless sly act of the polls amendments hurriedly rushed through in one sitting showed how desperate they are now.

For those who don't see anything wrong with their current system, it is because they themselves are the beneficiaries. That’s why they are so ticked when they hear criticisms about UMNO, to the extent that even if these criticisms are true, they would simply turn a blind eye and eventually even swing to the extreme right to justify EVERY wrong and evil machinations done by UMNO. These are the those we conveniently grouped as the 30 percenter UMNO fanatic supporters. Guess who here in KTemoc comment section belongs to this group ? No prize for guessing correctly, haha.

  3. The majority of Peninsular Malaysia's electoral boundaries have existed since before Merdeka. And East Malaysia since they joined in 1963.
So for the most part, the boundary demarcation was part of the Merdeka concensus. That concensus included the assumption that rural constituencies would cover a larger territory, balanced against their smaller population.
The major increase in urban voters was due to the natural large scale population migration to cities since the 1950's, not any "deliberate UMNO policy" to create super-dense constituencies.

To prove a point, there are also very dense Malay-majority urban constituencies, so it is not a racial matter.

By the way, such territory vs. population density trade-offs exist in electoral wards for the United States as well. Few serious observers would claim USA runs dirty elections within its own territory.
Alaska, for example, a huge state larger than many countries, with a tiny population, has stronger representation as a ratio to population, than New York, which is one of the most densely populated places in the country.

  4. Even if what u say is true tanah melayu , the basic principle of every democracy is one man , one vote not some man 6 votes! Doug it is true the lopsided distribution of voters is due to migration to towns, then it is the EC's job to rectify it and not carry one with a post merdeka dinosaurs . Of course we don't expect complete equality any where in the world but 20x urban to rural voter per constituency ratio is extreme and obviously benefits only one party . This also included Malays and other races in urban areas whose value of their votes is diminished as we agree it is nothing to do with race . The system is not designed to benefit Malays only , it actually benefits umno Malays ,MCA Chinese and mic Indians among others

  7. While its is not possible that each federal or state constituency has exactly EQUAL number of voters, the difference between any two constituency should not exceed 10-15% - this was originally in the Constitution but UMNO changed it twice, initially raising the difference to 50%, finally removing the max difference altogether.

    Why? Stupid question!

If this was truly an Islamic nation as UMNO claims it is, and there's no cheating, then if we have, say, 13 million voters and we divide that by 222, each federal constituency should have approximately 60,000 voters. Therefore to ensure (as best as is reasonably approximate) equal rights of each citizen-voter, the number of voters meriting a federal constituency should be between (to nearest round figures) 55,000 to 65,000.

Of course the above hasn't yet consider the special status of Sabah and Sarawak which due to their small population but special status within Malaysia (each being equal to the entire Peninsula) deserve a strong say in parliament (same thing for Island of Tasmania in Australia) & therefore should have a minimum number of parliamentary seats regardless of their small number of voters - I think they are currently 25 and 31 respectively.

13 million minus their total voting numbers, and divide by (222 - 56 =) 166, and that should give us the current number of federal seats in Peninsula.

If the urban areas are chok-a-block with voters then the EC must increase the number of constituencies, for example, Kapar should be two constituencies, while Putrajaya should be subsumed under one of the Wilayah constituencies because it doesn't deserve a seat by itself with so few voters - making it into is a clear case of sinful gross gerrymandering. In Australia the biggest (by geographical size) federal constituency is probably Kalgoorlie constituency (within which can sit many 'Malaysias') because of its sparse population - thus it should not be geographical size but number of voters which determine a constituency, fundamentally because of the democratic principle of 'one person, one vote'.

Of course the EC knows all these and has gleefully and corruptly went about making one federal constituency of 6000 voters and another of nearly 120,000 voters. On top of that there are deceitful measures where current legislation prevents election agents from monitoring the ballot boxes (the EC doesn't need mysterious electrical blackouts anymore).

They're cheating the people of Malaysia and will eventually answer, if not to the rakyat, then to Allah swt for their evil deceit.

Well, guys, i have news for you....i have some UMNO so-called islamists who gleefully declared that whatever sins they have committed, no matter how horrendous these sins were, they would be absolved completely the moment they perform a Mecca pilgrimage. Now we all know why these politicians made umpteen trips there....by their own reckoning, their sins would be 'washed away' and they would be 'born clean and fresh' and could start anew. From what can be seen, leopards don't change their spots, so very soon, they get 'dirty' again with new sins committed, hence necessitating more Mecca Pilgrimage :)

How convenient this 'loophole' in their islamic law....such clever and brilliant way-out for all their cheating, lying, stealing, pillaging, raping and murdering.
An added bonus - if sinning is committed to the kafirs, then there's no need for any Mecca trip, since these are kafirs (non believers) after all, so such sins are 'halal'.

  9. "...the difference between any two constituency should not exceed 10-15% - this was originally in the Constitution but UMNO changed it twice, initially raising the difference to 50%, finally removing the max difference altogether."

That is why we should deny UMNO the two-thirds majority if there is no way to topple this evil regime altogether. Our constitution is the most amended in the whole world - 700 TIMES IN 53 YEARS !

    See some comparision here :

The American Constitution was enacted in 17 September 1787, making it the oldest surviving constitution in the world. Since it was enacted, 223 years ago, the American Constitution was amended a total of 27 times.

The Japanese Constitution which was enacted on 3rd May 1947 was never amended throughout its 63 years history.

The Constitution of India was enacted in 26 January 1950 and is the longest written constitution of any sovereign country in the world totalling 117,369 words in English, containing 440 articles in 22 parts and 12 schedules. The Indian Constitution was amended a total of 108 times in its 60 years history.

Coming closer to home, the Singaporean Constitution was enacted on 9th August 1965 and has been amended only a total of 5 times.

In comparison, the Malaysian Constitution was enacted on 27th August 1957. It contained 15 parts and 13 schedules, much less than the Indian Constitution but the Malaysian Constitution has been amended more than 700 times in 53 years.

What’s utterly disturbing to me is the frequency of the amendments. Malaysia really top the world for amending its Constitution.

    Malaysia : 700 times in 53 years (13.208 times a year)

    India : 108 times in 60 years ( 1.800 times a year)

    USA : 27 times in 223 years (1.211 times every 10 years)

    Singapore : 5 times in 45 years (1.111 times every 10 years)

Malaysia is amending its Constitution as frequent as 13 .2 times a year while India is doing it about twice a year. USA and Singapore amends that Constitution once every ten years.

This leaves the question of what is a Constitution? If it is a legally binding Law, then the frequency of the amendments in the Malaysian Constitution gives the impression that the Law is not legally binding as it can be changed 13 times a year or a Law is amended every month for the past 53 years. ( Quoted from : Storm 62's Blog ).

The majority of the 700 amendments was done during Dr Mahathir's tenure as PM but in 1970, before he became prime minister, he was moved to write in 'The Malay Dilemma' : 'The manner, the frequency, the trivial reasons for altering the constitution reduced the supreme law of the nation to a useless scrap of paper'.

UMNO members seemed not to learn one very important lesson : their words spoken in the past so frequently 'come back' to haunt them.

  10. Anonymous above is factually wrong. The correct numbers are below:

    Malaysia : 170 times in 53 years
    India : 98 times in 60 years
    USA : 87 times in 223 years
Singapore : 5 times in 45 years (correct)

  13. Usually only failures and losers will invoke the name of GOD and the afterlife to alleviate the sense of loss they feel in an argument and endeavour.

Allah punish them in the afterlife?

Thats the talk of a SUPREME LOSER imo!

  14. not so, as it will trouble those who are scared of Allah swt. There are a large number of Muslims who fear the afterlife and judgement. Didn't AI refuse to swear an oath on the Quran on an occasion and even import his mate from Indonesia, former President Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur), to provide support by saying taking an oath is not permitted in Islam, whereas the former Mufti of Perlis, Dr Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin, said it would be permissible.

If I can trouble those EC people enough to have sleepless nights I'd be more than delighted.

Each occasion and situation calls for a special weapon.

  15. Re the amendments of the Malaysian Constitution :

    "Frequency of Constitutional Amendments :

According to constitutional scholar Shad Saleem Faruqi, the Constitution has been amended 42 times over the 48 years since independence as of 2005. However, as several amendments were made each time, he estimates the true number of individual amendments is around 650.

He has stated that "there is no doubt" that "the spirit of the original document has been diluted".[29] This sentiment has been echoed by other legal scholars, who argue that important parts of the original Constitution, such as jus soli (right of birth) citizenship, a limitation on the variation of the number of electors in constituencies, and Parliamentary control of emergency powers have been so modified or altered by amendments that "the present Federal Constitution bears only a superficial resemblance to its original model".[30]

It has been estimated that between 1957 and 2003, "almost thirty articles have been added and repealed" as a consequence of the frequent amendments.[31]"

therein lies the weakness of your invokement of Allah.

You wouldnt think this fear is easily erased by UMNO trooping out some running dog MUFTI who can declare that what EC's Allah fearing goons is doing is all good and well and condoned by Allah SWT!.

what is a ktemoc or even Nik Aziz declaration when their paid by the hour UMNO MUFTIs can reassure their Allah fearing minions.

in any case, trying to cause people sleepless nights while losing the EC war is a classic case of trying to win battles after the war has been lost

thats what happens to people who cant see beyond their hate of DSAI whats the bigger picture

  19. Get it into your heads BN, it must be a level-playing field. Opposition gets equal media & TV time, no newspaper, radio or TV should be gov’t owned to side them. That’s how it is in a democracy like New Zealand. BN to relinquished control of media or at least allow Opposition to equate with theirs. None of the gov’t funds, human & physical resources are permited to be used to facilitate & buy votes. You don’t own the country or gov’t, just a temporary incumbent to serve till you are voted out and you will be. The country has been cheated for 55 years. Shocking injustice.
