Katrina was colour blind, but was Bush ...?

While God and Hurricane Katrina may both be colour blind, unfortunately there is now a perception that the relief operations could have been influenced by colour, a case of black and white.

Victims and community leaders are claiming that the lack of urgency in Federal response to the stricken areas had been due to most victims being black Americans. A few victims stated that the relief would not only be faster but the donations could be more had the TV shown white faces and little blonde girls suffering in the wake of the hurricane. Civil rights leader Jesse Jackson agreed with the perception while State Secretary Condoleezza Rice rejected it.
