In Orissa state, India, 200 people were caught watching a porn movie in a cinema hall. Instead of charging them, the police made them do 10 sit-ups in public as punishment, before releasing them.
This is relatively light. Hmmm, if I were the police chief, I wonder what punishment I would dish out?
Aha, I’ve got it. I know it’s draconian but then I am a bloody cruel bastard. I’ll make all the males masturbate in public ;-) at least once by those audience and 10 times for the organisers, before allowing them to go home. Maybe I may be pushing the organisers' performance envelope a wee bit. But it would be an opportunity to kill 2 birds with one stone, if you know what I mean.
Why so cruel? Have you heard about the case of the Indian man who raped his daughther in law? Well, porn movies aroused these animals so much that they forget they are human beings!
Female viewers, though I doubt there were any considering it was India, would be made to hand out paper towels.
Solid evidence, please, that porn movies lead to the rape in this instance? Rape is generally about power and humiliation, isn't it? Most people (or at least the ones I know) enjoy porn films and have stuff at least as interesting going on in the projection rooms in their own heads. And this includes a whole-lot-of-holier-than-thou-by-daylight types.

A bit difficult to provide evidence for something that hasn't yet happened, isn't it? The potential is there - some people cannot be solely satisfied with titillation of the visual and sensual senses, and may attempt to translate that into something more physical.
ReplyDeleteAgreed that not everyone who enjoys porn will be rapist, but can you guarantee that a cinema full of immature youngsters and some dirty old men won't attempt to live the fantasies of the movie?
Why don't you instead provide evidence that porn isn't linked to sexual violence? Now that will be interesting.
