London Suicide Bombers or Murdered Bombers?

Looking back at the news report including police press releases, and leaving out the politics of the Iraqi war for this post, I feel that the London bombings may not have been carried out by so-called suicide bombers. Rather, I would call them executed bombers.

Make no mistake - they were killers!

It's just that I believe they didn’t plan to kill themselves. They were murdered, executed, sacrificed, or whatever one may wish to term the timed explosions of the bombs they carried on their back, which killed them without their knowledge.

Let’s examine the facts and factors for and against suicide bombings.

Against:

(1) Police discovered sophisticated “timers” at the scene of the explosions. Why would a suicide bomber require “timers”?

(2) Journalists claimed the bombers deliberately carried their credit cards and other personal documents so that investigators would discover those, and revealed their identities to the world, in turn making them martyrs in the eyes of extremist supporters. Hogwash!

If those bombers wanted to be martyrs, why didn’t they leave a note to their families or the world proclaiming their jihadi missions? Why didn’t they make a video, as had been done by other suicide bombers? Why relied on a possible handful of confetti-ed paper, which might not even be recovered, to reveal their role?

(3) They were seen joking at Luton station. Would 4 blokes on a suicide mission be so light-hearted?

(4) The bombs went of within seconds of each other, pointing to the “timers”. One could well argue that was why they needed “timers”. But using a timer would present a far more unreliable method than manual activation by the bombers, as the device might have gone off by itself outside the time set by the bombers. I doubt those suicide bombers would rely on such a risky tactic, or need to if they were suicide bombers.

(5) OK, if they were suicide bombers, all coordinated to set their bombs off together, were they observed to be synchronising their watches before they went their separate ways? No, in fact, they were seen joking!

For:

(1) All of they them died in the blasts. But this is merely circumstantial evidence. They could well be murdered by the mastermind, as I am alluding to.

(2) There are precedents showing how young extremists were brainwashed into conducting such draconian missions. Equally, those precedents showed that most would have pre video-ed declarations of their ideology or grievances or some form of farewell note. None existed for these 4, which has been most un-martyr-like! The only suggestion had been the fact they carried their personal documents. Perhaps they did so because they expected to return.

Just remember, throughout history, in every society, so-called masterminds, generals and leaders used, use and will use naive unsuspecting pawns as cannon fodders.

What do you think?
