Iraqis have to watch where they drive. If they come near a US military convoy, or if a US military convoy passes them, they are liable to get shot – either because the US soldiers are so panicky at the possibility of suicide car bombs, or just showing disdain for Iraqi lives. After all, they know that whoever they killed, as long as it’s not an American, they are fairly safe.
The families of some shot Iraqi reporters have found that out to their grief.
I don’t suppose these trigger-happy Americans are very popular in Iraq?
