Three days ago I stated “whenever the US military reported that they killed or wounded several hundreds of suspect, I have my doubts.”
Many of those "suspects" killed were innocent civilians. The US military used to employ its infamous "collateral damage" to consign those slaughtered civilians into nothing more than a meaningless and mean term. But that euphemism no longer carries the misreport it was designed to. So, nowadays the US military classifies innocent civilians killed by their reckless use of weaponry as "suspects" to impute their "guilt" and thus, deserved deaths - a lie consistent with the Bush Administration's lies about Iraq's WMD and the al Qaeda link.
Well, it has happened again. The American military continues its reckless slaughter of innocents, this time in Afghanistan. It had to confess that civilians were killed in an air strike in eastern Afghanistan last week because an Afghan provincial governor released the information. The Americans didn't specify the number of deaths. Of course, it wouldn’t and couldn’t tell how many innocent people were slaughtered, which probably included women and children as well
The reason for the US military’s perennial problem with that insulting and inhumane word “collateral damage” or "suspects" is well known to its allies – the Americans operate under very questionable rules of engagement.
The golden rule has always been “when in doubt, don’t fire.” The Americans practised the exact opposite.
