DAP is fielding two new faces for the Tiram and Johor Jaya state seats.

In Tiram - currently held by Umno - the party is fielding Nor Zulaila Ghani (above, third from left), a Muar native who went to a Chinese primary school.

She is currently an aide to both Investment, Trade, and Industry Deputy Minister Liew Chin Tong and Bangi MP Syahredzan Johan. She is also a Kajang municipal councillor.

Meanwhile, DAP is also fielding Lee Wern Yiing (above, second from left) for Johor Jaya, replacing her boss and three-term assemblyperson Liow Cai Tung.

Also named as candidates today were Shafwan Ani, 33, special assistant to Johor DAP chief Teo Nie Ching, for the Bukit Permai seat - while incumbent Senai assemblyperson Wong Bor Yang will defend his seat.

Muda president Amira Aisya Abdul Aziz will not be contesting in the upcoming Johor state election, saying she will instead contest for a Parliament seat in the next federal election.

She has named her aide Rashifa Aljunied - who is a Muda central committee member and youth activist - as her replacement in the Puteri Wangsa seat.
