What Russia suspected has come true - NATO will accept Ukraine in future & surround Russia with hostile states

Nato chief says Ukraine will join alliance in the ‘long-term’

HELSINKI: Nato chief Jens Stoltenberg said today that Ukraine will become a member of the alliance in the “long-term”, but stressed that the immediate issue is it remaining an independent nation in the face of Russia’s invasion.

“Nato allies have agreed that Ukraine will become a member of our alliance, but at the same time that is a long-term perspective,” Stoltenberg told reporters during a visit to Finland’s capital Helsinki.

Stoltenberg added that “the issue now is that Ukraine prevails as a sovereign independent nation, and therefore we need to support Ukraine”.

After Russia’s invasion, Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky has urged the US-led military alliance to grant his country a fast-track membership.

Ukraine applied for EU membership in February 2022, shortly after it was invaded, and was granted candidate status in June.

When the war ends “we need to ensure that history doesn’t repeat itself”, Stoltenberg told a press conference with Finnish prime minister Sanna Marin.

“President Putin cannot continue to attack neighbours. He wants to control Ukraine and he is not planning for peace, he is planning for more war.”

Spooked by Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine, Finland and Sweden dropped their decades-long policies of military non-alignment and applied to join Nato in May of 2022.

“I see that the future of Ukraine is to be part of the European Union and also a member of Nato,” Marin added.

Turkey and Hungary are the only remaining members yet to ratify the Finnish and Swedish bids to join the alliance.

Stoltenberg said that “both Finland and Sweden have delivered on what they promised in the trilateral agreement they made with Turkey last June in Madrid”.

“The time is now to ratify and to fully welcome Finland and Sweden as members,” he said.

  1. It ONLY confirms that NATO is a military tool that a mfering self proclaimed policeman of the free world, uses to execute his will.

Soon NATO will extend its reach into Asia & change its name to WATO - world alliance Treaty Organisation!

  2. Russia has to take a cold hard look at its own actions that resulted in driving neighbouring countries into military alliances as a result of the deadly threat that Russia poses to its neighbours.

Sweden and Finland had been strongly neutral for a long long time.
Especially Finland, which had been under Soviet influence for decades.
A majority in both countries only accepted NATO membership After the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.
A majority in Ukraine were Opposed to NATO membership up to the 2014 Little Green Men invasion of Crimea and Donbass.

So...Russia has to take a cold hard look at its own actions.
Being a neighbour of Russia can be horrifyingly deadly.

What a joke! Instead you should see through the crookedness of the US of A. Read this NATO - declassified :

      https://www.nato.int/cps/en/natohq/declassified_139339.htm

........ In fact, the Alliance’s (NATO's) creation was part of a broader effort to serve three purposes: deterring Soviet expansionism, forbidding the revival of nationalist militarism in Europe through a strong North American presence on the continent, and encouraging European political integration.

History didn't begin from "invasion of Crimea and Donbass". Russia after the disintegration of the Soviet Unions wanted to be friend with NATO by applying to join NATO. but it was NATO who rejected to be friendly with Russia, 3 times!

Russia is greatly concern of the US of A would arm Russian border countries in a reverse situation of Cuba so it has entered into agreements with the West that NATO would not expand past East Germany but all those freedom and justice loving nations truly freely renege the written 2 written agreements many times over!

The reason why this situation happened is because US of A is playing the divide and rule game. It created havoc in the Middle East until it control Saudi Arabia, the perceived leader in the location.

It started the Cold War and eventually caused the breakup the Soviet Unions but that's not enough they further caused trouble in Yugoslavia, Kosovo, etc etc now Republic of Serbia.

Ultimately, the two prime targets of the US of A to subdue by divide and rule are Russia and China because these two countries are too large for its liking, with so much resources which they covet for.
