PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia strongly condemns the actions of the Israeli soldiers who encroached the Al-Aqsa mosque on Friday and attacked the Palestinians there, including medical workers and journalists.

Foreign minister Saifuddin Abdullah said the shameful and inhumane actions of the Israeli soldiers were very much regretted and should never have happened in the first place, especially on a Friday, what more when Muslims were observing the holy month of Ramadan.

“The Israeli soldiers also targeted women. This is an unacceptable act of brutality,” he said in a statement today.

Saifuddin said Malaysia would continue advocating the well-being of the Palestinians.

At least 153 Palestinians were reported injured following clashes between Israeli soldiers and Palestinians when the soldiers entered the mosque compound after the dawn prayers on Friday.

  1. Only Palestinians lives matter for Malaysia, and no one even got seriously injured.

Malaysia abstained from the UN General Assmbly vote to hold Russia accountable for the Crimes Against Humanity carried out in Ukraine. Go Fly Kites is basically Malaysia's message.

  2. The Israelis were not going to turn a blind eye after the massacre in Dizengoff Street. Pelting the sequrity forces at the Temple Mount with stones will invite a strong response from the Israelis. Just as the Indo Malaysian, posturing ,war game. Pukul Habis in 1991 forced Singapore to mobilize its Armed Forces. Islam has never made any peace conssesions in the middle east. It only precribes the doctrine of Hudnah. A ceasefire, before the next encounter. Similarly, Malaysian sentiment, seem to point to the same, red dot, ie uneasy neighbour to the south. Why claim the moral high ground. When muslim politics in Southeast Asia are similar in nature…
