“I remain committed to the PH agenda,” says Ginie Lim after Azmin’s (obviously kerbau-ish) ‘sympathy’

“I remain committed to the PH agenda,” says Ginie Lim after Azmin’s ‘sympathy’

PKR’s Ginie Lim has slammed Bersatu Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Azmin Ali for claiming that she had been dropped as a candidate in the Melaka polls for being aligned with him.

Despite not contesting in the Melaka state election, Lim insisted that she remains committed to the Pakatan Harapan agenda, and that she is contributing her efforts and ideas to local politics under the leadership of PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

“The loyalty of a reformist activist lies in the party principles, not to any individual,” insisted the incumbent Machap Jaya assemblywoman in a Facebook post.

“I strongly denounce the Sheraton Move as it was an act of colluding with kleptocrats and corruptors who have already been rejected by the people in the previous general election.”

It was reported that during a visit to Machap Jaya amid the Melaka polls on Nov 16, Azmin had expressed sadness at PKR’s decision to drop Lim and urged her to continue fighting.“I am so sad that she was dropped from the state election. I was made to understand that she was a victim in PKR because she was seen to be aligned with me,” he told reporters.

Azmin was the deputy PKR president before he defected to Bersatu.

In her post, Lim further expressed her dismay that for someone who claimed to fight for multiracial politics and against corruption for over 20 years, Azmin had “ended up bowing to racist parties and corruptors”.

“It’s better if Azmin realises that his party (Bersatu) is no longer relevant for the country’s future and should return to the right path rather than continue being a tool for corruptors,” she added. – Nov 17, 2021
