KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 9 — Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Senator P. Waytha Moorthy has expressed disappointment over allegations made by a Terengganu Umno member that communist elements have infiltrated the government.

In a statement today, he said such claims are clear efforts to instigate hatred and fear among the people towards the ruling government which has been given the mandate to rule in the last general election.

“These baseless claims that communist ideology has seeped into the government must be treated seriously,” said the minister who is in charge of national unity and social wellbeing.

In this regard, he called on the police to take immediate action against Wan Hisham Wan Salleh, who reportedly made the allegations during a debate session at the Umno general assembly recently.

Waytha Moorthy said: “In the era of New Malaysia, it baffles me how some still resort to scare tactics which include inciting hatred towards democratically elected leaders and the government.”

He underscored that the deliberate act of causing alarm is not justifiable.

“Malaysians, especially political leaders, must be made responsible for their actions of causing disharmony within the nation,” the minister said. — Bernama

UMNO

The communism narrative has been a very old one, but nonetheless one which seems convenient to be picked up by unscrupulous politicians to exploit communist-fearing supporters in the Heartland so as to marshal them to his or her "protective" banner.

Heartland supporters by virtue of their fear of even an imaginary (and now non-existent) Communism, would be easily driven by the unscrupulous drum beatings, not unlike in an old tiger hunt in the British Raj, where a small army of (trained) beaters would use drums etc to frighten or startle the big cat toward a machan, a tree hut wherein the hunters wait.

In politics the Heartland voters would be driven to the politician's base by (not beaters with drums but) frightening them about the communist-infiltrated opposite camp(s), usually the Chinese and Indians camps and currently the Pakatan government.

The politician not only gain support but also prominence in the party, all to gain by his act of kerbau.

Terengganu Umno representative Wan Hisham Wan Salleh tells Umno delegates that communists have entered political parties, government agencies and the government

It's crude but Malaysia's experience with communism and the insurgency during the Emergency lends credibility to such drum beating in the Heartland, more so when we have an Old Man who had deliberately, publicly and unashamedly reneged on a treaty with the CPM, specifically with Chin Peng.

I bet that instead of seeing such a wilful disregard for an international treaty a disgrace and an insult to Malaysian Dignity, wakakaka, the Heartland would have considered the shameful act as brilliant sensibility, wakakaka again.

Although I reckon that sort of treacherous act is unlikely to gain track with the younger Malays.

Waytha has been right to point this out, but his call to the police to take immediate action against the drum beater may be futile, as the police have been busy investigating into the possibility of a resurrection of communism and terrorist insurgency, especially now that the ashes of Chin Peng is back, wakakaka.

I wonder which country in the world is truly communist - forget about Russia and China as both (especially China) have been busy with, and more interested in capitalism, and also North Korea which is less communist than a fascist-dictatorship.

I use to believe some smaller nations might hold out, but I think I have been too naive in believing that Marx-Leninist communism will thrive in Cuba and Albania, especially after Castro left us. To conclude, today there is no country which is true communist - but there are a lot of dictatorships, get-rich capitalist-loving former communist nations.

But the word 'communism' and derivatives of it have been 'gold' to naughty politicians in Malaysia, to use as 'drums' to marshal frightened voters to their base. Thanks Karl Marx, wakakaka.

  1. There is plenty of Communism in new clothes or new bottles in the world, and they are clearly in ascendancy.

China is politically still an authoritarian Communist state.

If you don't believe that, try to question publicly , while in China, whether Xinjiang Muslims are being subject to repression.

That may he the last time anybody ever sees you.

    2. Please let Ridzwan Abdul Rahman educate you on the "repressed" Uyghurs in Xinjiang :

"I think the PRC government is a very considerate government that does whatever is possible to improve their citizen’s lives, including the Uighurs in Xinjiang.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation, with 57 Muslim countries as members, have the following to say after a visit to Xinjiang:

“The Council “welcomes the outcomes of the visit conducted by the General Secretariat’s delegation upon invitation from the People’s Republic of China; commends the efforts of the People’s Republic of China in providing care to its Muslim citizens; and looks forward to further cooperation between the OIC and the People’s Republic of China.”

A group of 37 countries, including 20 Muslim countries, sent a letter to the UN on China’s remarkable achievements in the field of human rights. Among others, the content of the letter is as follows:

“Security had returned to Xinjiang and the fundamental human rights of people of all ethnic groups there had been safeguarded. There had been no terrorist attack there for three years and people enjoyed a stronger sense of happiness, fulfillment and security”.

They further said, “Faced with the grave challenge of terrorism and extremism, China has undertaken a series of counter-terrorism and deradicalization measures in Xinjiang, including setting up vocational education and training centers”.

It is only the US that is spreading all sorts of propaganda about China’s treatment of the Muslims in China. You should really stop listening to the US!"

It is so funny....when US forces encountered Uyghurs fighting on the side of the Taleban and IS, they were “terrorists” or “militants". But if the same Uyghurs engaged in political violence in China, they would be freedom fighters against repression. Ditto Afghan “freedom fighters" against the USSR who overnight became “Islamic militants" subsequently.

The reports of repression of Muslims in Xinjiang are credible because it has been reported by independent journalists. Not just the CNN types, but independent Left media (true independent).

Of course, there are left wingers who simply evade or deny the issue just because it involves China.

    4. The majority of the 37 countries that support China on Xinjiang are themselves severe domestic human rights abusers ("wife beaters" as I call them).

Algeria, Angola, Bahrain, Belarus, Cambodia, Congo, Cuba, Egypt, Eritrea, Gabon, Myanmar(!), Nigeria, North Korea (!), Pakistan, Philippines, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria (!), Tajikistan, Togo, Turkmenistan, Venezuela (!), and Zimbabwe(!)

      The Coalition of Wife Beaters.

To his credit, Mahathir refused to participate in this letter, though he has been largely silent on Xinjiang to avoid antagonising China.

What has the credibility of icij.org in mention ing about the

      1) The July 2009 Ürümqi riots

      2) in 2012 and in 2014, when Uyghur separatists executed a series of bomb blasts in Xinjiang, and dozens were killed when Muslim extremists went on a stabbing rampage at a train station in Kunming.

Name dropping is so easy for a teloqless fart to showcase his meme-ed biasness!

    6. So ?
Britain has suffered a series of bomb blasts conducted by Muslim extremists.
Australia has had Muslim extremists who went on stabbing rampage.
In both cases, law enforcement acted firmly, but without wholesale massive human rights violations of their Muslim population.

THAT is the difference between a country with proper Rule of Law and an authoritarian Communist state.

    7. Wholesale massive human rights violations of their Muslim population?

How credible is that source? Or u r been conned!

The origin of the 1M Vyghur detention came from a GUESSTIMATE report prepared by Randall Schriver of the United States Department of Defense in May 2018. Subsequent many ANONYMOUS reports claimed supports to that number & higher!

Writing in the Journal of Political Risk in July 2019, 'independent' researcher Adrian Zenz ESTIMATED the upper speculative limit to the number of people detained in Xinjiang re-education camps at 1.5 million. In November 2019, Adrian Zenz ESTIMATED that the number of internment camps in Xinjiang had surpassed 1,000. In November 2019, George Friedman ESTIMATED that 1 in 10 Uyghurs are being detained in re-education camps.

While there is NO PUBLIC, VERIFIABLE DATA for the number of camps, there have been various ATTEMPTS to document SUSPECTED camps based on satellite imagery and government documents. On 15 May 2017, Jamestown Foundation, a Washington, D.C. based institute, released a list of 73 government bids related to re-education facilities. On 1 November 2018, the Australian Strategic Policy Institute's (ASPI) International Cyber Policy Centre (ICPC) reported on SUSPECTED camps in 28 locations. On 29 November 2018, Reuters and Earthrise Media reported 39 SUSPECTED camps. The East Turkistan National Awakening Movement(wakakaka…) has reported larger numbers of camps.

What does one read in these 'intelligent' reports/documentations?

      Guesstimate! Estimated! Suspected!

The laughable part IS none of these 'researchers' had been to Xinjiang for any ground zero investigations! All of them were based on claimed verbal denouncements by some relatives of the claimed inmates!

Based on satellite imagery & govt bids!

The biggest Nazi concentration camp is the Auschwitz concentration camp (Konzentrationslager Auschwitz) - a complex of over 40 concentration and extermination camps covering approximately in a total area of 191 hectares (472 acres).

At its peak, it housed at least 1.3M inmates.

Compared with the claimed satellite imagery of the Vyghur detention camps/centres - are typically one or two stories high and have very little yard space, unlike the camps, which tend to have at least three or four stories and occupy sprawling grounds. Nevertheless, it can be difficult to say with certainty that a facility viewed only through satellite imagery is a camp.

The biggest fraud is the acreage of the so called detention camps imagery CANNOT justified to pack more than a thousands, even if the inmates r piled on top of each other! In no way r the claimed detention camps/centres ANYWHERE near the size of Auschwitz!

      So 1M? 3M? A propaganda blackmailing, maybe!

      Govt bids?

Govt contracts for building projects r been tagged as detention camps/centres. Many of these bids r subsequently proven to be schools, factories that r opened to all visitors.

Very imaginative guesstimate works of the top espionage agents, earning for their keep. The laughable part is there r western govts willingly accepting these 'findings' as truth! Just like the recent oz biggest catch of the 'chinese' spy story!

There r radicalized Vyghurs, thousands of them in Xinjiang. Many of them, who r unable to escape oversea, r now been caught & put in jails within Xinjiang.

What r their crimes? How to deal with them? Pray to tell lah, mfer!

Each country has their own ways of dealing with these 'animals'.

China has been kind to put them through reeducational facilities - certainly no paid holidaying. Definitely not like those f*cked radicalised fanatics in pommieland where they r been 'humanely' released back to the society to continue their single-minded carnage as in the recent London killing!

Ditto with the Yankee & the Oz.

Country with proper Rule of Laws but no sizable herd-mentalized religious fanatics, bending on going their own ways can act spurious humane & let their citizenry suffer the consequences of been acting within their rule of laws.

China chooses to act within her definition of the rule of laws to protect the peace & harmony of the country. If the outsiders term that as authoritarian, then so be it. Bcoz the Chinese of all ethnicity support such actions!

BTW, would u still be acting within yr definition of rule of laws (whatsoever yr f*cked decree) when one of yr dearest is been hacked to death during one of these fanatics outings?
