DAP members in Tg Piai to vote for MCA?

MySinChew.com:

Wee: DAP supporters tell me they'll vote for MCA

Wee Ka Siong says many DAP supporters have told him they will vote for MCA's candidate in Tanjung Piai by-election

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 31 (Sin Chew Daily) -- MCA president Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong said when he was in Tanjung Piai, many DAP supporters told him they would vote for MCA's candidate this time because MCA had expressed their frustration towards their leaders.

“We need to have stronger opposition in the Parliament in order to tell the prime minister his policy is not right and he has not fulfilled his election promises.”

When asked about MCA's chance of winning the Tanjung Piai by-election, Wee said, “I don't want to be too optimistic. I would say it's 50:50.”

Wakakaka - yes, the voting strategies cum tactics of Chinese Malaysians have been legend. In old Pulau Pinang, they would have voted MCA-Gerakan-MIC and even UMNO in state elections, while voting mainly DAP for federal parliament.

The objective was to ensure local developments were unimpeded (with BN representatives having access to federal money) while 'Chinese voices' were heard loud and clear in federal Parliament with once DAP noise-makers like Lim Kit Siang, Karpal Singh and various others. The Chinese in Penang wanted the best of both worlds, wakakaka.

So in a way, I would say Wee Ka Siong has not been bullshitting because I too sense a deep anger within the Chinese community at Mahathir's old UMNO policies and the generally useless boe-laam-phah-nes of the top DAP leaders - only grassroots heroes like Ronnie Liu remain respected by DAP grassroots.

Ronnie Liu - a DAP salt-of-the-earth member

Thus, at best for Pakatan, the Chinese voters will play mahjong or p'ah kau, or watch Hongkie TV dramas, or worse, they will vote for either MCA or Gerakan, and to eff with Parti Pribumi (nothing personal against the candidate but virtually spitting at Mahathir).

As I mentioned before, if the Parti Pribumi candidate Karmaine Sardini wants to win, he has to secure 50.1 of the overall votes, but where all of that have to come from the 57% registered Malay voters in Tanjung Piai.

However, berhati-hati, my dear Wee, there's many a slip twixt cup and lip, and the MCA candidate may yet lose due to one, two or perhaps a combination of the following reasons:

(a) PAS and UMNO voters play renegades and vote for calon Melayu yang berIslam, wakakaka,

(b) Chinese voters staying back at home,

(c) Chinese voters voting for Gerakan candidate Wendy Subramaniam, though it has to be said Wee Jeck Seng, the MCA candidate is well-known in Tanjung Piai and had been the Pekan Nanas ADUN from 2004 to 2008 and Tanjung Piai's representative before (2008 to 2013; then 2013 to 2018).

In the humongous Pakatan tsunami of May 2018, Wee Jeck Seng only lost by 524 votes in a constituency of 45,858 votes cast, or 1.14%, which had been quite a sterling Herculean effort.

But with everything going his way today, he should win, though alas, the Malays today are more ethnic-conscious.

So, Wee Ka Siong has been cautiously wary and thus humbled in saying the MCA candidate's chances are at only 50:50.

I wonder which DAP member will be campaigning for Pribumi's candidate Karmaine Sardini, wakakaka.

Lim KS? Lim GE? Teo Nie Ching? Wakakaka. Better send the non-Chinese DAP politicians there - at least they'll still receive support from the Chinese Malaysians in Tanjung Piai.

  1. Yup, most Malaysian Chinese are now solidly behind MCA. All that happened before 2018 is forgiven.

The UMNO-PAS-MCA alliance will soon become unstoppable.

  4. The US Marines have a K9 unit which uses dogs on dangerous missions when sending in human soldiers would be too risky, like mine detection, reconnaissance deep into enemy territory and sniffing out dangerous targets.

Public acceptance of the PAS-UMNO is still unknown, especially amongst the non-Malays. They need to test the water. Gauge the voter support. Tanjung Piai is the testing ground. Send in a dog. Where can we find one?

Aaaahhhh, we have an obedient but stupid........MCA. Face grinning and tail wagging vigorously.

Ha ha ha how the tables have turned. They used to say DAP was a running dog of so and so....now MCA's turn....

I am praying Wendy Subramaniam will get more votes than MCA.
