Latheefa, remember Teoh Beng Hock?

From Malaysiakini:

Reopen Teoh Beng Hock's case, DAP Youth tells Latheefa

The DAP Youth has urged newly appointed MACC chief commissioner Latheefa Koya to reopen investigations into the death of party aide Teoh Beng Hock.
"It is with sincere hope that Latheefa will be implementing drastic measures in reforming MACC, eliminating the culture of corruption that permeates different levels, including launching new disciplinary investigation into the case of Teoh Beng Hock and taking firm actions against the officers involved in it," DAP Youth deputy chairperson Chiong Yoke Kong said in a statement today.
Teoh, a DAP political aide, was found dead at the Selangor MACC headquarters in 2009. He was called there as a witness for a case.
Chiong said DAP Youth would never forget the tragedy of Teoh's death, bringing up the suffering his family had to go through since his death.
"It is intolerable to see MACC officers involved in Teoh's case remain at large, while some of them are even more successful than before with promotion and wealth.
"Latheefa (above), who had worked with the Selangor government before, must have understood clearly the political persecution staged by the old regime and MACC towards Pakatan Harapan, with Teoh being the innocent victim who sacrificed.
"Therefore, an investigation by MACC on the relevant officers must not be delayed," Chiong said.
A royal commission of inquiry into Teoh's death arrived at an "open verdict" but acknowledged that Teoh was subjected to aggressive interrogation tactics by three MACC officers.
The Court of Appeal later reversed the open verdict decision, ruling that Teoh's death was caused by "unknown" persons and the MACC.
A Royal Commission of Inquiry implicated three MACC officers in Teoh's death, but they did not face any criminal action.

DAP leader Lim Kit Siang shook hands with Rohaizad Yaakob, a senior Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) official to show the opposition’s solidarity with the MACC

Yet just a year earlier Kit Siang in his article, titled "Malaysians will not rest until justice is done for the killing of Teoh Beng Hock" said DAP and Pakatan Rakyat would continue to highlight the injustice of Teoh Beng Hock’s unresolved murder

what utter bullshit

  1. Continuing ugly whispers about a Faustian bargain.

In return for Ah Eng's bungalow case being dropped, some "sensitive" parts of past DAP platform are no longer highlighted by Snr., though not officially dropped.

  2. Toonsie has just set the foxhound loose and he is hoping she will sniff out and chase down the crooks over in Sarawak, in particular a certain white haired rabbit. With state elections just around the corner this will be an exciting chase and PBB / GPS better watch out, this foxhound is fearless.
