Pakatan's human rights poor record

MM Online - Suhakam unhappy with Pakatan’s 100 days:

not bloody happy

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 18 — Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) first 100 days in office has not been satisfactory in terms of protecting human rights, the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) said.

Suhakam said human rights have not been embraced across the maiden government’s initiatives and public policies so far lacked transparency

WTF can you guppies do?

Tawfik, you're casting pearls before guppies

“The government has not come out categorically that human rights will be applied in all government efforts and this may be a reason for some ineptitude within parliament,” Suhakam chairman Tan Sri Razali Ismail said in a statement.

“Suhakam would recommend that all levels of government take an active role and adopt a coordinated strategy in operationalising human rights, unlike the government’s poor handling of the issue of child marriage that went from one Minister to another, still without remedy.”

resign lah, you're a USELESS Women Minister and have FAILED miserably to protect an 11 year old lil' girl from a pariah-ish predatory paedophile

Local authorities have yet to arrest a Kelantanese man who took an 11-year-old Thai girl as his third wife and reportedly said he had wanted to wed her since she was seven.

  1. I for one, am VERY GLAD Suhakam since May 10 2018 now has the Human Rights Freedom to speak up openly criticising the Current Administration.

Prior to May 9 2018, Suhakam was a sad example of an officially silent poodle of the Najib Administration.

Suhakam utterly failed to object to Child marriages before May 9.

Suhakam was silent on the "Disappearance" in broad daylight of Social Activists before May 9.

Suhakam failed to speak up against the extra-judicial killings of suspects in Police custody.

    And so on...and so on..

Keep up the good work in the New Malaysia , but let us not forget the Dark Place we were in before May 10 2018, and how some people and organisations were silent and complicit with the Forces of Darkness.

  2. Still early days while the PH Govt. continues it's Reformasi agenda. So many previous laws and Acts in the past by the BN regime needs time to study and amended or outright annulled. Annulling previous laws against Human Rights also need passage thru Parliament. But the progress so far is very encouraging.

After 100 days with whatever human rights achieved or laws already annulled is definitely way better than past decades where news laws curbing Human Rights are shoved onto citizens practically every Parliament sitting.

Those who lose patience or in a hurry can continue harping to keep the PH Govt. incheck to ensure all is done.

The rest of us however still have faith that the Reformasi process will continue in due time and relax.
