Pakatan government against LGBT

From MM Online (extracts):

LGBT activists’ portraits removed from George Town Festival exhibition

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 8 — Pictures of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) activists Nisha Ayub and Pang Khee Teik posing with the Malaysian flag have been taken down from a photography exhibition at the George Town Festival (GTF) 2018 on “instruction”.

Datuk Vinod Sekhar, who is a sponsor for the Stripes and Strokes exhibition by photographer Mooreyameen Mohamad in the Penang capital, said he would not have expected this to happen even during the previous Barisan Nasional (BN) administration, much less in the “New Malaysia” under Pakatan Harapan (PH).

“Since when did we discriminate against ordinary Malaysians reflecting on their patriotism?” Vinod told Malay Mail yesterday.

“For it to happen in Penang is even more ridiculous,” he said, as he described Nisha and Pang as inspirational “people of courage” who should be applauded.

“This is something that all Malaysians should fight. The moment we give in to narrow-minded insular ignorant hate mongers, then where do we draw the line?”

MM Online - Mujahid: I ordered removal of portraits from GTF exhibit, no promotion of LGBT (extracts):

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 8 — Minister in charge of Islamic affairs Datuk Mujahid Yusof Rawa confirmed today that he had ordered the organiser of George Town Festival (GTF) to take down the portraits of Nisha Ayub and Pang Khee Teik from an exhibition.

He said the two activists were clearly promoting Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) activities, which he had previously said was not in line with the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government’s policy
.

Does this a$$h*le have the right to interfere with a Penang State festival?

Is it true that the Pakatan government is against LGBT?

Hannah Yeoh, since your fan-waving minister is useless and will remain dumb, what are you going to do or say?

What about former CM Lim Guan Eng an dhis vociferous father, Kit Siang?

NOTE:

Earlier today, Penang state exco Chong Eng said the portraits should not be removed.

Chong, who is in charge of the state committee for women, family development, gender inclusiveness and religions other than Islam, said there is no harm for anyone to express their love for the country.

However, she did not know who instructed the portraits to be removed and insisted she can’t order for it to be reinstated.

Also:

Heng Lee Lee (PH-Berapit) said such incidents should not happen in Penang.

“Penang has always placed importance on the freedom of the arts and yet this happened here,” she said in her motion of thanks to the Penang governor’s speech today.

She said Penang has always practised freedom of speech and freedom of the arts
.

I want to see some backbone in Penang's DAP-led state government - put those portraits back a.s.a.p, and don't act 'dunno' like Lim KS and Guan Eng

  3. I agree LGBT should not be discriminated against, eg. nobody should ever be fired from their job, refused to be employed or subject to violence or arrest because they are LGBT.

I am still a social conservative, sorry, I cannot support those who actually promote LGBT lifestyles....that is too much...too far...
A person is either a man or a woman, a man is meant to mate with a woman.

That is the order of nature. Anything else is not natural.

Not sure what the removed photos showed, were they promoting LGBT activities ?

  4. Is the Minister of Religion next going to be like Wahhabis, ISIS, Takfiris to stone them to death, throw them off high buildings, chopped off their hands or heads or genitals, burn their houses and dwellings or banish them to a faraway place or island to satisfy his religious obligations or believes?

Why are they playing as God? Let the God settle it since not everyone is born perfect.

Why do people of the Abrahamic faith so despised LGBTs but not Paedophiles, Autistic, Down syndrome, Mongoloids etc? All of them suffer from some kind of genetic/heredictory/sexual disorders and needs helps to readjust back to normal society.

You just can't solve the problem by just segregating them or punish them without a sense of humanity.
