Vengeance is mine

NST - 'Why is Malaysia giving up on Pulau Batu Puteh?' (extracts):

KUALA LUMPUR: Umno has questioned the government’s decision to give priority to the ownership of the Spratly Islands, which is located thousands of kilometres away, instead of Pulau Batu Puteh, which lies only 12.8 nautical miles (23.7 km) from the country’s borders.

Umno’s Strategic Communications Unit, in a statement, said Pulau Batu Puteh has formed part of the nation’s maritime territory and sovereignty since the Johor Empire in the 16th century.

It said logically, Pulau Batu Puteh should also be claimed based on existing documents and submitted again to the International Court of Justice in The Hague.

“Umno cannot accept the logic behind Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s and Pakatan Harapan’s ‘game’ in the case of Pulau Batu Puteh, or Pedra Branca, as the claim on it was made even when Dr Mahathir was the country’s fourth prime minister.

“We support Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Osman Sapian’s wish to meet Dr Mahathir to negotiate the Pulau Batu Puteh issue as well as that of the High-Speed Rail (HSR) project with Singapore.

“Was the decision to drop Malaysia’s claim on Pulau Batu Puteh among the items agreed upon in the negotiations between Dr Mahathir and Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong last month as a ‘condition’ to cancel the HSR?” it asked. [...]

Umno, said the statement, is questioning the actions of the Cabinet as well as the rakyat, especially Pakatan Harapan supporters who are remaining silent when Malaysia’s claim on Pulau Batu Puteh was dropped.

“Are they afraid of going against Dr Mahathir, who practices politics of 'corporate and legalistic entity?' In other words, they concur with all of the prime minister’s decision, as if he made the decisions unilaterally and cannot be objected by anyone else,” he said.

Umno, said the statement, hopes that the issue of Pulau Batu Puteh will return to the negotiation table of the prime minister and the Johor Menteri Besar.

Umno said there is no use in speaking of integrity and the country’s sovereignty if one can so easily accede to personal political interest.

“It is dismaying to note that his authoritarian style and era is being practiced yet again in this cyber age, as seen in his directive to Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng to focus on digging up the faults of the previous administration, to the extent of canceling any projects initiated by the former government due to revenge.

“If this
practice of vengeance remains commonplace among PH, the people will face a muddled administration when Malaysia’s foreign policies should be uniform in preserving its sovereignty, even with a change of government.”

I have to do what Tun wants

  2. Projects from the previous administration found to be corrupt deals or unjust to Malaysia's interests need to be

    a) Exposed
    b) Renegotiated or shelved or Cancelled.

It was in Pakatan's manifesto, so nothing underhand about this.

UMNO warlords are hurting because many of these projects were Mega Gravy trains for Corrupt patronage and leakage.

Has Ktemoc become an UMNO member ?

The Pulau Batu Putih case is a dead letter.
There is not one shred of documentation in 150 years showing the Johor Sultanate, Malaya or Malaysia asserting its sovereignty rights over the island, until the 1980's...far too late.

Continuing to pursue it only serves to enrich some London QCs.

  3. There must be something special about Najib. Without having to say or do anything people simply want to give him money and riches. Huge amounts of Money. Untold riches. All given with no expectations of anything in return. The Saudi prince gave him $681 million cash, no strings attached (but why oh why did he return most of it?); the former SRC boss, for no apparent reason transferred RM42 million into Najib's personal bank accounts to fund his credit cards. But Najib never did explain why he did not return the money after finding out it was indeed public money. Now Najib is telling us the hundreds of Birkins, luxury watches and jewelry, reportedly worth hundreds of millions, are gifts as well. People just love him. UMNO trusted him too; he was responsible to safe-keep RM114 million meant to fund the party's GE14 campaign, but it was never explained why the cash was in 26 foreign currencies.

To top it all he claimed Li Keqiang, Chinese Premier, promised to import USD2 Trillion worth of Malaysian exports in 5 years. That's Trillion with a T, or a B but add three more zeroes.

What a guy. What a Finance Minister. He is Mr MONEYBAGS. Harapan should put him in charge of Tabung Harapan. Malaysia will be able to settle the 1 Trillion hutang in no time. But watch those sticky fingers

  5. Indeed, TDM must answer the question.

Also at the same time answer why Johor, the birthplace of UMNO, which just celebrated its 70th anniversary, did not jaga their island that is only 24km away from its coast? Who was in power since Merdeka?

  6. What nonsense story of Pulau Batu Putih? The International court has already made the decision that it belongs to Singapore after previous BN Govt. lost the case due to it's own sellout. It is next to impossible to overturn such a case anymore short of going to war to reclaim it.

However, Middle Rock was given to Malaysia and thus efforts to establish sovereignity by increasing it's size and putting in some military installations is a right move. Just like a base at Pulau Layang-Layang. (Part of Sprately Islands.

UMNO and BN are trying very hard to stop PH from exposing all the scandals and looting done by them to achieve 2 aims namely:

    1. To stop more and more UMNO and friendly parties and supporters from being exposed and charged espeicially among it's corporate people otherwise it will run out of monies and become helpless for any future revival and comeback.

    2. To avoid Rakyat's anger from growing day by day with each exposed scandal which will end up UMNO and BN being labelled toxic and Jijik (Stinky) till kingdom comes and written in future Malaysian history books.

Wakakakakakaka Eat that you moronic UMNO and BN goons.

  7. Several thoughts on this:-

    1. U.S. imperialism through its NGOs supported a Pakatan victory to blunt Malaysia's turn to China and participation in the One Belt, One Road initiative and the Spratly's are also being claimed by China.

    2. Singapore is a close U.S. imperialist ally, so lay off territorial disputes with Singapore.

    3. Yes vengeance or opposition for opposition's sake - i.e. If the former Najib administration built bridges and trade with China, thear them down and instead build bridges and trade with Japan, a U.S. imperialist ally.

Pakatan ministers are still acting as if they are in opposition and making statements like "Malaysia going bankrupt", which in turn scares away foreign foreign funds.

You can monitor the inflow and outflow of funds into and out of Bursa Malaysia over here.

And the weakening of the ringgit exchange rate vs the U.S. Imperialist dollar over here:-

Before any Pakatoon accuses me of being a "Najib stooge", a "BN stooge" or a "BN dedak eater" - I speak independently and the facts I have presented here speak for themselves.

  8. Besides going after Najib, 1MDB and others, the current Pakatan government must also prioritise addressing economic issues to try to bring down prices and the cost of living, whilst reducing unemployment.

I suppose though that if the ringgit weakens until it is RM8 to the U.S. Imperialist dollar, the cost of labour in Malaysia will be so cheap that foreign investors will return to place their screwdriver assembly plants here to super-exploit Malaysian workers whom they can pay dedak (chicken feed).

    1. [screwdriver assembly plants here to super-exploit Malaysian workers] - That statement is factually wrong because, other than not realising how unproductive they are, Malaysians are too unwilling to do laborious jobs. They rather sit at home moping on the internet while letting foreign workers replace them.

If the ringgit does weak to RM8 to the U.S. dollar, the cost of living will be so high that Malaysians won't have the luxury to mope on the Internet or to go for hours with faces buried in their smartphones but will have to get off their butts and work, especially since foreign workers won't want to come here to take up "dirty", dangerous and "demeaning" jobs which Malaysians currently shun.

Either that or Malaysians will be going to neighbouring countries to find work, even jobs where they wipe and wash their employers' anuses to be able to send money home to support their families.

  9. Mahathir accused Najib of selling the country out, but in reality its Mahathir that sold the country bit by bit.

  10. 'Why is Malaysia giving up on Pulau Batu Puteh?'
The photo you posted says it all.
There is fucking huge lighthouse on top of the island, complete with jetty and helicopter pad - accessible by sea and air.
All built and operated by Singapore.

The Crown Colony of Singapore and its successor the Republic of Singapore operated some version of such facilities for 150 years, without Malaysia or its predecessors ever asserting their ownership or protesting.

Gone is gone. Pursuing the case would just be for Syiok sendiri.....masturbating. I doubt Mahathir wants to do that....wakakaka

  13. Why do educated people resort to foul language to express their opinions? Can differences not be addressed in a civilized manner?

As they say, bad minds/thoughts bring forth bad actions, and bad actions acted out repeatedly end up being a habit, bad habits define that person's foul or low class mentality.

Not attacking anyone, but asking for some decorum in manners and behavior.
