Sabah to Putrajaya: Where's my 20%?

Star Online - Shafir Apdal: Sabah gov will continue seeking 20 percent of royalty from Petronas:

Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal said the state government will continue to pursue its demands of seeking 20 percent of royalty from Petronas for petroleum extracted from the state's waters.

Shafie said that after attending a breaking of fast event with Sabahan university students, organised by Sabah Foundation at the Setia City Convention Center on Thursday night.

Hey, WTF is going on?

I thought Pakatan Harapan has prior to the election promised Sabah and Sarawak 20% oil/gas royalties?

Since Sabah voted PH, why is there a need for Shafie Apdal continue to pursue its demands of seeking 20% royalty from Petronas for petroleum extracted from the state's waters?

Petronas is an institution created by the Malaysian and is thus subordinated to the instructions of the federal government.

Have Putrajaya played Sabah out AGAIN and AGAIN?

  1. Why do we say Putrajaya play out Sabah AGAIN and AGAIN? This is the first time Harapan has won. So Sabah has been played out only for the FIRST time. Don't exagerate.

TDM also has to be careful; if he give 20% now what happens if the OTHER Chief Minister suddenly comes back and then more frogs jump from Warisan/Harapan over to BN? Cannot !!

  2. It's in the PH manifesto of giving Sabah and Sarawak back their oil royalty rights of 20%.

So, the PH Federal Govt should honour it and give to Sabah.

As for Sarawak, the current PBB State Govt. has to leave BN before being granted otherwise it should be channeled via some Federal Development Dept.

As for Kelantan and Trengganu, no such promises were made in PH manifesto. DSHH left with a sour face after trying to get it from TDM hoping to hitch a ride. I bet DSHH regret taking the RM from UMNO and left PR to become BN friendly during last GE14.

Wakakakakaka What a world Malaysian politics is.
