Will Lim Kit Siang say "Wat is verby verby" to MACC?

The Star Online has reported that Abu Kassim Mohamed may again be appointed Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner following the resignation of his successor Dzulkifli Ahmad.

The reported said Abu Kassim would most likely return to “finish what he left behind” after he was replaced by Dzulkifli in August 2016.

While many thought he had retired, the source said Abu Kassim was “exiled” to a small department in UiTM.

But we also read in Malaysiakini that Teoh Beng Hock's family says 'no' to Abu Kassim's return as MACC chief (extracts):

The family of late Teoh Beng Hock opposes any move for Abu Kassim Mohamed to be reappointed as chief commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

Beng Hock's sister Teoh Lee Lan took to social media to voice her family's disagreement on a report in the New Straits Times (NST) that speculates the return of Abu Kassim to the post.

"During the trial of Beng Hock's case, we found that many of the officers were not highly educated, some only with a PMR (Penilaian Menengah Rendah) level," she said in a Facebook posting today.

"The Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) into Beng Hock's case said only two officers out of 33 were honest, while others were lying and covered-up for each other," Lee Lan said.

"Abu Kassim merely said he regretted and understood how the family felt. He did not instruct the probe against the relevant officers and have them suspended. He was in the dark in Beng Hock's case.

"With him again steering MACC, how can we talk about transformation and how are we going to proceed with the trial fairly and justly?" she asked.

Let us see what the DAP, especially Lim Kit Siang, will do or say.

I wonder whether Lim KS will imitate Nelson Mandela and say "Wat is verby verby" (what is past is past)?

I will not be surprised if he does, because he had betrayed Teoh Beng Hock and family before in 2015 when he slutted with Rohaizad Yaakob from MACC to show the opposition’s solidarity with the MACC.

Yet just a year earlier Kit Siang in his article, titled "Malaysians will not rest until justice is done for the killing of Teoh Beng Hock" said DAP and Pakatan Rakyat would continue to highlight the injustice of Teoh Beng Hock’s unresolved murder.

But one later he was slutting with MACC, the organisation responsible for Teoh Beng Hock's unexplained death at its Shah Alam building.

What utter bullshit.

Let them taste some of the ge14 aftermaths. That WOULD be the most appropriate thing to do.

Bcoz only after that CAN they realise how wrong has been their indoctrinated thought.

For the reading deficiency crowd, aftermaths need not be a bad thing! Just show them

      - HOW well countrywide economic management

      - better social & racial interacting cohesion

      - excellent educational outputs at all levels

After see that ONLY then they would change. Nothing short of these will do.

Old lim can't do that since he is following mamak to enjoy the subset riding soon. But the bases they have built can inspire the young Turks of the new govt.

    4. If UMNO aides are nons and the previous MACC head comes back then all is well!

The MACC continues to serve the government of the day by throwing nons off buildings - except that the aides serve UMNO bosses. Syabas semua!!!

      Gotta love the nons.

Eat yr heart out, chaos provocateur!

Old lim is smart to keep his mouth shut. He holds zilch position in the new government currently though he is a senior member of PH.

He can rebute hero wannabe Rayer through his dap jurisdiction. Which he did.

Tbh's case should be looked into by the new AG rather than anybody else!

Keep digging, maybe u can find a mother lode of sh*t that can stick on any prominent members of PH.

    Wakakakaka……

    4. Ahh, wasn't that the same reason for Teresa et al was detained for a while under ISA back then, to protect them from a purported angry lynching mob, but then there was outrage. So now where's the outrage from the same group of zombies?

  6. Where's the follow-up to the RCI report?

It takes time based on priorities of the Nation first but as always "Justice will always be done and seen to be done."

It's like the MH370, Altantuya, other MACC deaths, police custody deaths, detention centres death, unexplained killings cases.

Compensation of RM will never be enough to seek justice for those who died.

It will be a mockery of Justice and will linger until all those who participated or collaborated in murders are fully accounted for their crimes.

Those hoping for a quiet closure or for it to be forgotten thru Time are sadly mistaken cos all those involved are slowly being uncovered.

It will come oneday, one way or another!

  7. The first MACC chief has a lot to answer for with respect to TBH's investigation. TBH's family is still devastated and has not been served justice. Now there is talk he may be asked back to helm MACC, then there are reports that he declined to accept but still offered to help clean up the earlier investigations on TBH, 1MDB etc. Whatever his role is he must set things right.

  8. So the person who turned the MACC into a political and partisan tool during his first reign is being trusted to clean it up in his second.

The person ultimately culpable is not being punished. He is being tasked to punish those who followed in his footsteps. He himself is celebrated.

    Syabas Malaysia.
