Anti Fake News Law stays

MM Online - PM: Government won't obstruct press, but anti-fake news law to stay for now:

I believe the following may also stay:

BR1M
Road tolls

I wonder about the following:

GST or under another guise
Oil royalty?
ISA?
Proton?
Crooked Bridge?

Wakakaka.

  1. In the first episode of the first season of SF anthology series "Metal Hurlant Chronicles", a King is dying and his successor is chosen by a duel between rivals to the throne.

The twist at the end of the plot?

The winner is beheaded and the dying King's head is transplanted to the body of the beheaded victor.

    Aiyoyo!!

    Long Live Authoritarianism!!!!

    3. Other than the Seig Heils, DAP now has its own Brown Shirts in Penang. In other states, thugs prowl and intimidate anyone who looks "Bangladeshi". North Korea also has "democratic" in its official name.

  3. When UMNO was in power, it did all sorts of unconscionable things.

How did people who support them continue to support them?

Easy, just oppose specific policies, just say you don't support that specific part of their agenda - but continue to support the party itself nevertheless.

So, now DAP supporters have a first hand understanding of how UMNO stayed in power for so long - because they are going to have to do the same things .... wakakakaka

  7. Tun Daim has said that The Council of Eminent Persons will work for 100 days only. That’s good. And now that Anwar will be released and pardoned we should have a by-election as soon as possible and TDM can retire before the two years is up. He has done a fantastic job, drained the UMNO/BN swamp, now let the others do the reconstructing.

    1. Retire before the 2 years is up ? wakakakaka. He knows this is his last chance to correct what needs to be corrected and he knows this country cannot take another greedy corrupted leader again. There's this bit floating about :

"Mahathir realized that once he retire, his successors is bound to abuse their powers but that won't happened again because he knows what to do after the past debacles. Anwar's power as PM will be definitely be curtailed with a set of postulated laws to ensure that he does not go over board and back to his old ways and habits. Mahathir will ensure that all future PMs abide by the rules of law to move along the right track as his final legacy. The BN style of power abuse and corruption that caused the nations of more than RM900 billion external debts will be history. Thank you Tun M, you will be remembered as "the father of National unity, stability and a clean government of the people, for the people, by the people."

The swamp is so massive and stinky that if you think it could be drained in a few months, then you have another think coming.

  8. Aiyoh, of course lah Kaytee. What were you expecting?

Any weapon of the enemy in your hands to use and completely neutralise or vanguish the enemy is logical and sensible.

After the enemy is annihilated, then can throw the weapon away.

The war is not over yet until the whole State and their conspirators and wounded are annihilated. Those who surrendered peacefully and bear no more arms can of course be considered to serve as slaves or concubines.

    Wakakakakakakak

  9. Oh and if GST is removed, then BR1M will go too, since BR1M money comes from GST, unless he starts to raid somewhere else (hint: Petronas).

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. So what's wrong if Petronas money is used for BR1M, isn't Petronas money belong to the Rakyat?

      Delete
    2. Nope. Petronas is our investment. You don't raid your investment for your daily funds, right?

Petronas money is needed to sustain and grow its business. Significantly reducing their cash reserves will result in, collapse of their stock valuations & confidence of their investors, higher borrowing costs due to higher risk, lower OPEX & CAPEX, missed out on future potential green fields (ie Vietnam) & technical partnerships (ie AMG), lessen investment for new techs, slow down in RAPID at Penggerang, and no longer capable to attract the best talents in Malaysia and the world.

With the country now nett importer of petroleum, Petronas money cannot be used for BR1M as well as subsidies too, so how will BR1M be sustainable if it relied on Petronas money?

  10. I don't like to count my chickens before all eggs have hatched, so I'll wait and see what transpires under the new Pakatan administration.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Enough politicking, time for Pakatan get down to the hard work.

For my state, Penang, top priorities are

    a) The Transport Master Plan - LRT, Undersea Tunnel.
The Public-Private partnership is logical and should continue, but this time with full Federal Government backing.
The cost of the project will be substantially reduced with Federal Government guaranteed financing.

The idiot who tried to pay bribes for approvals should be prosecuted with due process. No "Kautim".
As far as I can see from what has been alleged, Lim Guan Eng had nothing to do with those actions.

    b) The Flood Mitigation works.
This is very dear to the heart of every Penangite who was impacted by last year's floods. DAP must GET THIS MOVING before the next rainy season, or else there will be substantial public anger.

A large proportion of infra-structure works were previously held up by budgeted funds not forthcoming from the Federal Government.
