aisehman, velly hensom lah

My dear Yang Berhormat Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz,

Assalamualaikum. Semoga Yang Berhormat dan keluarga berada dalam keadaan yang sihat, aman dan makmur, walaupun pada sekarang adalah basah sedikit - Alhamdulillah.

Ingatkah Yang Berhormat, apa Yong Berhormat sebut 3 tahun dulu?

Baiklah, sampai titik sini saya menamat tulisan Bahasa saya buat tidak menakutkan (horrify) Yang Berhormat, wakakaka.

In 2014, you wrote in your Facebook page (and which was duly reported in a couple of Malaysian news portals) that the floods in Kelantan then were intended to remind Muslims to return to Allah’s path, and of the necessity in implementing the Islamic penal code in the state.

You remarked: “The flood is a reminder to all Muslims to return to Allah’s ways and stay away from His wrath.

“It necessitates the perseverance of the Kelantan government to implement hudud laws.”

Then tens of thousands of the suffering rakyat in Kelantan, Terengganu, Perlis and Pahang had had to be evacuated from their homes due to floods in various districts.

In other words, my dear Yang Berhormat, you had at that distressful moment provided us with your most halal opinion that Allah swt was very angry (wrathful) with Malaysians, which I took it as mainly Muslims in Kelantan and Terengganu.

I had thought the Muslims in Kelantan and Terengganu have been the most pious Muslims, thus I was a wee bemused by your warning to them that “the flood is a reminder to all Muslims to return to Allah’s ways and stay away from His wrath."

To recapitulate, based on you blessed advice, Allah swt wrecked His Divine punishment on 'wayward' Muslims in Kelantan and Terengganu by sending the devastating floods.

Sadly several Muslims in Kelantan and Terengganu perished in the 2014 flood, while more than two hundred thousands in your East Coast were forced to evacuate from their flooded homes.

But Yang Berhormat,
one question please - why was it, as per your warning statements above (in your Facebook page), that Allah swt targeted mainly Muslim supporters of your PAS' avowed intention to implement hudud.

Though I was and am still a non-believer (my atheistic and probably non-halal apologies) I would have thought that logically (according to your blessed wisdom) those bloody DAP people who did not support hudud should have been the ones to be punished!

Was I wrong? Please correct me as I was/still am less, very much less, knowledgeable than Yang Berhormat.

But nonetheless, after serious reflections on the above puzzling paradox, I believed (then) I might have the answer, admittedly through sweet secular speculations (wakakaka), and based in part on what Perkid president Masridi Sat had then reminded the news portal Malaysiakini, that of Aceh being hit by earthquakes.

Now what exactly did Masridi Sat say about Aceh?

Give me a few secs and I'll come to it, but let me say something about Selena Gomez first as it's connected to what the Perkid president said.

In June 2016 as gorgeous (ooops ... sorry) Selena Gomez, an American singer thrilled thousands of fans in Stadium Malawati, Shah Alam.

I hope you know who she was/is, but in case you don't I have attached a few of her photographs here for your ease of identifying who I am referring to.

please excuse her dressing as she was born in Texas, USA, which is a very very hot state

Some 20 members of an Islamic group called Pertubuhan Kebajikan Darul Islah Malaysia (Perkid) performed solat hajat (special prayers but aiyah, Yang Berhormat knows this lah) and recited Yasin just outside her concert premises.

By the by, a Selangor PAS exco member at that time also directed mosques within the state to hold solat hajat to pray for sweetie's ... err ... I mean .... her concert to be cancelled. Alas, the concert was not cancelled. Perhaps that PAS exco member's prayers needed a bit more oomph?

Anyway, back to Perkid - its president Masridi Sat told Malaysiakini that they did that (solat hajat) to prevent the concert from triggering any disasters. He said:

"Kelantan has been flooded, Aceh was hit with earthquakes. Any time, something could happen to us."

"If disaster strikes, it doesn't matter whether someone is religious or not, it will affect everyone."

As you would be aware, Aceh has already fully implemented full syariah laws inclusive of hudud punishment, a legislative status quo which your PAS Kelantan state government wishes for.

But my dear Yang Berhormat, based on the common denominators of natural disasters suffered by both Kelantan and Aceh, floodings in the former and earthquakes in the latter, at that time (last year) I was inclined to believe you might have been wrong in misreading Allah swt.

HE might actually be NOT pleased at all by some Muslim clerics taking the law (excuse my pun) into their own hands and misusing His Divine Name.

It's possible that your god might have wanted syariah laws to be fully implemented ONLY when a truly pious Muslim is in control, and certainly not the current crop of Muslim clerics like those in an agency called JAWI, who wasted god's given time to harass a young Malay woman who worked at Borders, all because Borders sold some books PRIOR to those books being banned by the government.

Apart from the FACT that the books were not yet banned when they were sold, hence their sales were very legal, I reckon it might be that those JAWI officers could not prosecute a non-Muslim Borders Book Store which could have persuaded them to redirecting their super geram-fury at another target, a Muslim lady, oh yes, someone of the weaker gender, which alas for her, JAWI prosecuted and persecuted kau kau for more than two years.

Chinese Penangites have a term for the JAWI anger directed at an alternative and convenient female Muslim substitute or replacement target, to wit, "ch'oot k'ee" (translated: vent the anger).

Yes, my dear Yang Berhormat Nik Mohamad Abduh, would you agree with me that some of your ulama are yet to meet the exacting standards of Allah swt, so perhaps the implementation of hudud is not yet appropriate when the code of punishments may well be misused by bullying clerics like JAWI who lack the compassion, humanity and mercy of Allah swt?

And as a final friendly reminder (kaytee being a friendly sort of bloke), the current flooding in Kelantan and Terengganu, which has once again affected so many Muslims in those states into becoming evacuees, must be considered very very seriously, as per your blessed wisdom provided to us in 2014, as a possible Divine omen to cease and desist from your mortal desire for increasing punishments (or even hudud) allowed for the syariah courts.

I wonder why your party president wants to flog offenders of Islamic moral laws 100 times instead of just 6?

Implementation of syariah laws including hudud or increased punishments for the syariah courts to mete out shall only be for Allah swt to tell us when to implement them.

Bertaubatlah if you realize you might have been too arrogant, hubristic and incorrect in 2014 in your pompous and politicized presumptions to daringly, arbitrarily and blasphemously speak on behalf of Allah swt.

Allah swt is all merciful, forgiving and compassionate.

Salam mesra,

Yang Ikhlas,

kaytee

p/s I used to date Sabaxxxxx from your constituency, Pasir Mas, but I now realize we can't ride on a Honda Cub bike as without her holding onto my waist as she used to do, she might fall down from the bike.

  1. Your interpretation of Nik Abduh's statement as blaming Kelantanese for Divine punishment visited upon them in the form of floods is incorrect.

It is more a reminder for Muslims to rededicate themselves to following the fundamentals of the Muslim faith, in the face of the natural disasters.

  2. God (Allah) our creator n Almighty wud never send disasters like floods as punishment. if it did, u wud be seeing thunderbolts striking Najib, Rosmah, Jho Lo etc on many occasions n Putra Jaya wud be flooded many times over.

wud u kill yr beloved children as punishment for whatever mistakes they had done? NO. so never blame God for all the calamities that befall on us. blame ourselves for not caring n managing the environment adequately. with all the get-rich-quick scheme of cutting down our beautiful forests ..... flooding will get worse not better, esp if the PM (Najib) is so ever busy counting the billion$ he skimmed off each contract.

a simple example ....if u drink, get drunk n drive into an accident. was that a punishment by God or yr own doing (punishment by yrself)?

like Samy Vellu (our highly corrupt ex Works Minister) ... whenever a bridge or road collapsed ... he wud immediately proclaim an Act of God which was as good as blaming God for the disaster.

in essence, he was "crying wolf" to cover the bribes he had received from the contractor who had then conveniently cheated on the foundations works. every dollar he received in bribe .... means 100 dollar in missing service / work / materials. a case in point ..... instead of using the 1000 bags of cement as per specs ....probably less than 50% or 500 bags were actually used in the concrete mix. who knows? well apart from God ....the cheating contractor n the enforcer of contact (site supervisor).

"u can fool (cheat) some of the people some of the time, but u can't cheat all the people all the time" ~ A Lincoln.

the truth comes out when the construction collapses. in Najib's case .....the truth is further suppressed n more lies invented to cover the "hole (lobang)". look at all the disastrous projects during Najib's time ...KLIA II vs KLIA, 1977 MH653 crash (Tg Kupang) during Tun Hussein Onn PMship Vs 3 plane disasters 2014 MH370-17-QZ8501 in 10 months during Najib's reign of stealing-terror, BMF Vs 1MDB scandals .... plus many more.

in other words, the number of tragedies, disasters (man-made accidents or so-called natural calamities), the severity of economic hardships etc r the consequences (akibat) of how the country is ruled n managed.

during Mahathir's time .... we do not need GST for the nation to get by n we had surpluses, despite the high level of corruption too.

now Najib tells us, w/o GST we wud go bankrupt. annual tax revenue in 1998 was just Rm 29.978 bln vs Rm88.4 bln (2009), Rm 86.5 (2010), Rm 109.61 bln (2011), Rm 124.9 bln (2012), Rm 128.9 bln (2013) Rm133.7 blm (2014). Msians were better off under Mahathir n we prospered despite collecting 1/3 of taxes during Najib's reign. .....n that's just taxes. what abt the oil revenues? a higher %age of Msians hv a harder time making ends meet despite the 5-10 times more revenue all in.

so somebody or bodies r sucking up 100s of billions of our tax, oil, labour agri-produce (TOLA) dollars. wonder who can that be?

if u still say Najib is the best PM Msia ever had ....then please go jump into the nearest lake.
