  6. I do not understand why Ktemoc is so anti-Anwar. Granted, he has his faults, but tell me, which politician is perfect? Anwar Ibrahim represents the BEST AND ONLY HOPE Malaysians have for regime change. Or Ktemoc, would you still prefer this current government in power after all this ISA arrests??? Arresting a journalist but not the venom-spewing Ahmad Ismail, arresting MP Teresa Kok but not the lying Khir Toyol, arresting RPK but not Najis? Is this justice? Your constant anti-Anwar rhetoric is puzzling, do you really see another alternative PM in the near future to get rid of this rubbish, evil, corrupt government? Hah, perhaps you should blog more anti-Anwar posts to save YOURSELF from ISA...

  7. well, to justify her further detention, get some groups to lodge reports against her. basis? same as Khir Toyo! and that when the whole world knows that the allegations by the Botoxman are false!

  8. My reading of the situation from all the MSM and blogs is that by all accounts Teresa Kok has nothing whatsoever to do with her ISA arrest debacle.

She is clearly a victim of maipulating, racist politician(s).

DAP and Teresa must pursue her release vigorously, alebeit peacefully and without falling into the carefully laid trap of we know who.

I join you in your call for her immediate, unconditional release

  9. Today we had a candlelight vigil in front of the Dewan Sri Pinang. Hundreds attended, and the cops gave us permission for 45 minutes. Passing vehicles honked in support.

Perhaps Teresa's only hope of getting out soon is through Operation Katak.

As for chaptokam, please make sure your dog-collar is adjusted properly, as well as your fellow MCA, MIC & Gerakan mates. Improper setting of collar may result in strangulation when UMNO pulls it.

  13. The Muslim Consumers Association of Malaysia, Heritage Associations, Malay Cultural Organisations and Related Bodies Cooperation Network yesterday lodged police reports against Teresa Kok over her "alleged act" to prohibit the azan call. As a social and cultural associations, they should show to the general public that they are run by good intellectuals who can provide good examples on righteousness, fairness and integrity. To make such police reports after the fact that the Masjid had denied the involvement of Teresa Kok on the azan issue, the confirmation by the residence association that Teresa Kok did not initiate any petition and that the blogger at the Pembelamelayu Blog has appologized on the mistakened allegations made by him, it makes one wonder what is the motive of such police reports now! It has been told that Islam forbids slander against anyone. So in this holy month, why are such actions taking place against the truth and supporting lies by these muslim associations?

  14. One man made thoughtless, hurtful, and even seditious, comments in a speech and got away scot-free because he is a member of the ruling party while three people who had minor or no involvement in the ensuing storm provoked by those comments were arbitrarily incarcerated.

Let's ask ourselves - isn't this analogous to say a court of law setting a rapist free while sending the hapless victim to jail?

It would appear like this is the kind of justice the Umno government will arrogantly and casually inflict on non-Umno Malaysians.

    I think these are
    "front organisations" i.e.
fake groups hastily established to give the appearance that they are NGOs with real grassroots support.
Likely to be agent provocateur groups.

On Bernama TV, one can see that the

Your operation katak has now changed to Ka tak de ! While I am openly against the use of ISA on Teresa Kok I am overwhelming supporting ISA on Ahmad Ismail and Zulklifi Nordin .

Teresa's only hope is not thru katak , which will never happen but thru the objection and protests of BN's component parties and thru UMNO's factions within .

You see the difference here ? We speak on two sides of the coin , yours is only one sided opinion .

  19. Chaptokam, I am with you 100%. Unlike the Great Snake Oil Salesman, we don't talk with a forked tongue but stick with our principles. Justice and fairplay should not be clouded by political affliation.

In BN, there is a healthy check and balance with parties openly speaking against the unjust application of ISA.

However in PR, there is a culture where political loyalty blinds the sense of their justice and fairness. Anwar, Uncle LKS and the Islamofascist of PAS have the habit of "Tutup-dua mata" when it comes to speaking against the wrongdoing of their own party members while going over-board with the slightest faults committed by BN.

The case of Zulkifli Nordin and the Taiwan tour of PKR are two instances that clearly demonstrate this hypocrisy.

I don't know what Teresa Kok has really done but I don't think she is as pure as the driven snow. There is a lot about her that many of her adoring cult members do not know or chose to ignore. The story about azan with "malfuctioned loudpseaker" sounds a typical PR spin. However, I agree that if she is guilty, PDRM should charge her in court and let her defend herself than detain her under ISA.

  20. 'Healthy check and balance'. . . it seems. Then pray tell why Datuk Zaid Ibrahim has resigned from the Cabinet ?

That's right. There are people who speak out against the leadership's decisions and even tender resignation letter in BN.

'Healthy check and balance'. . . it seems. Then pray tell why Datuk Zaid Ibrahim has resigned from the Cabinet ?

Datuk Zaid Ibrahim resigned from the Cabinent is very clear cut . He is also like us , we don't agree to the use of ISA on innocent people in this case the messenger got arrested instead of the "hero" of the Great Snake Oil Salesman .

The New Straits Times learnt that the former Kota Baru MP had decided to quit over the use of the Internal Security Act.

Zaid's resignation comes in the wake of his criticisms against the arrest of blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin, Seputeh MP Teresa Kok and Sin Chew Daily reporter Tan Hoon Cheng on Friday.
At a Press conference in Kota Baru on Sunday, Zaid said the ISA should only be used against those who truly posed a threat to national security, such as terrorists.

He said he was "ready to resign" if Abdullah felt that he would be a problem to Umno and the government due to his views, which he acknowledged differed with the majority in the Cabinet.

Would the Great Snake Oil Salesman admit his mistakes and resign like our Datuk Zaid ??? I doubt it , most he would do is to come out with sandiwaras and SDs to cover , resign never !!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Oh, you don't have to worry about the DAP. They have a well recorded history of people who did not agree with the leadership and then resigning.

It's the Gerakan who I'm worried about. Despite their President's photo being torn to bits and stamped they remain. Tak malu ka ?

I have to agree with killer that the one you mentioned is Zulkifli Nordin , he has not resign for his infamous call to Chinese to balek China , must have gone into hiding , its frogs laying eggs season . I don't look on the face value, have it come across your mind that Teresa Kok may have been played out by their own people, knowing very well that she is a formidable forces and vocal in Selangor, surely she have enemies outside as well as inside. You know one is always very careful in public taking and may be careles when taking among their circle. Usually the inner circle are the culprit that why you have the Malaysiainsider and MT, further more consersations can be easily tape nowadays. The news paper may have some thing concrete otherwise who dare to report, they can be sued for defamation.

    It is worth a thought.

    Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...I'm sorry, I just couldn't stop laughing....

In the last 20 years (About the period I've been able to read newspapers - I can't vouch any further back) MCA , Gerakan, and MIC have NEVER EVER spoken up against the ISA.

MCA is doing this because it knows it is currently Facing Political Extinction after last week's ISA Stunts by UMNO. In my locality, the local MCA Division Head has been bombarded with thousands of SMS messages from ordinary people. If MCA had remained Deaf and Mute, it would be THE END for the party as far as the Chinese community is concerned.

The only saving grace, which only adds to the insult, is I don't think MCA or any BN subordinate party was ever consulted.

Zaid Ibrahim has resigned from the Cabinet because he has finally realised there is simply no way he can get the needed reforms within this group of Dinosaurs.

That is exactly what they the Great Snake Oil Company wanted Gerakan to do and weaken the BN .

Anwar branded a hypocrite on ISA

KOTA BARU: The sole Independent MP Datuk Paduka Ibrahim Ali has called on PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to stop being a hypocrite with regard to the Internal Security Act (ISA).
When Anwar was a federal minister in 1987, he defended the Government’s move to use ISA in “Ops Lalang,” Ibrahim said.
“But now, Anwar is asking for Selangor senior state exco member Teresa Kok to be released.
“How ironic. When I was among those detained under Ops Lalang, Anwar kept quiet,” he added,
On a new Federal Government being formed come Sept 16 or even later, Ibrahim said he fully supported it if PAS led the initiative to do so.
He added that PAS should nominate one of its leaders to become the new prime minister.
“I am neither supporting Barisan nor PKR but I would support PAS because they are a strategic ally,” said the outspoken MP, adding that he could not support a PKR initiative led by Anwar.
“I cannot accept Anwar because of the hypocrisy of his politics,” said Ibrahim.

You think if GSOS really has the number he will sending a "rabbit killer" squad to Taiwan in an assinine bid to "convince" BN MPs to crossover? Do you really think people like that immatured clown Tian Chua, misguided human right "activist" Elizabeth and uber-racist Nasution (remember the Lunas campaign ?) for such a delicate and critical mission ? I bet if Anwar is serious, he himself with LKS and few other senior PR leaders would do it.

And that he wants to meet AAB today to talk about transition is a joke. This blatant lie won't last long, by end of today GSOS' great con job will be exposed and people like you will be shown as naive anwaristas.I hope you will be around here tomorrow for the Great Unrevealing of GSOS' fantasy.

If GSOS has the numbers, he won't be seeing AAB but calling a press conference to annonuce the cross over of BN MPs.

I am more curious to see what new excuse he has for us tomorrow. I think he knows how naive and guillible some Malaysians are so he will try a brand new con job, perhaps Project 310809.

Does it look to you like he's super politician where he plays his cards close to his chest and makes an announcement once he has his numbers and surprise everyone instead of continual harping on the issue and date ? What if you are a BN MP with the intention of doing a froggy would you be put off by this disclosure ? I have to conclude he doesn't have the numbers and he's doing a Great Snake Oil sales talk . Barking dogs don't bite its the dogs that don't bark that you have to be careful . It will be the anti climax after today for a lot of people charmed by this Great Snake Oil Salesman . Funny I don't seem to be able to find or seen any statements by him on the ISA arrests . I have only seen him calling a press conference saying he wants to meet Abdullah on this but has he actually met up as I am still waiting and wanting to hear what he has to say ?

  48. 916 has come and gone and still the Anwaristas cling on to the words of the mighty deformer. It's all a ruse to achieve some hidden agenda. What hidden agenda? Maybe Kt would consider this topic his next post. Hint hint. :)

I have friends who say we don't have a choice. They say who else is there to lead the way to a better Malaysia? For me, replacing a weak leader with a populist snake and convicted felon is not the answer. (Anwar served 6 years for abuse of power.)

In the meantime, let's pray that Teresa is released soon.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I wouldn't hold anwar being a convicted felon against him-which BN minister (in fact which politician...) would not spend some time at his majesty's leisure if we had a free and fair judiciary to catch corrupt politicians?

    ReplyDelete
  50. Ah, of course, the issue of our judiciary. When Anwar was acquited of his sodomy charges on technicalities, why then no questions were raised on the free and fair judiciary?

Would you also not hold anwar to his deeds as Education Minister? Renaming Bahasa Malaysia to Bahasa Melayu. Transferring non-Chinese to Chinese schools as Headmasters. Changing school holidays from December to January (it's wrong to have hols during Christmas, you see). In those days, Anwar portrayed himself as a Malay nationalist to ascend the throne.

Would you also not hold Anwar for his incompetence of managing the economic crisis of 97?

Outside Umno, Anwar knows he needs Chinese and Indian support to fulfil his ambition. So now he's for all Malaysians it seems. For me, the only thing he's for is himself. And that's what i hold against him the most.

    ReplyDelete
  51. You are assuming I am supporting anwar! I am saying what is good for the goose is good for the gander. What you just said about anwar and his anti-chinese policies I may well just point you to the direction of the PM in waiting, Najib and his speech in 1987.

I'll be clear: Most of our politicians are corrupt-some have been convicted; others have escaped. The judiciary is not free and fair which is why some have been convicted while others have not. Given this, I wouldn't hold Anwar's conviction against him.

When we can openly and carefully scrutinise the books of any BN frontbencher and past frontbenchers (here's looking at you Samy and Daim), and most of them end up being convicted felons, I'll be more than happy.

Till then, I'll hold other things against Anwar, but certainly not his felony conviction.

  59. Know the Difference: Transition, not Handover.
For the moment, the UMNO leadership crisis appears to have been averted with the announcement of the cabinet portfolio swap between Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and his Deputy Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak. As recently as last week, analysts and commentators were anticipating Najib to make a move on the Presidency before the year’s end. And why would they not? After UMNO Vice President Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin rekindled the debate about Abdullah’s position, Najib appeared to position himself for an assault on the post when he remarked that the divisions should decide for themselves when the transition should occur – essentially informing that he was more than ready to receive nominations for the post of Party President.

But with the portfolio swap, Najib may not see a need to gun for the Presidency – and by implication Premiership of the country – so soon. Notwithstanding the fact that a transition of power is, as Abdullah quipped, a process and not something carried out overnight, Abdullah must be credited for such a bold move. Skeptics have characterised it as a calculated political decision to neutralise any potential threat from Najib. Political considerations there definitely were, but by paving the way for Najib to take helm of the Ministry of Finance, Abdullah has also demonstrated magnanimity and sincerity to groom his successor for the top job in 2010.

Being Prime Minister with little experience in managing the country’s economy will likely prove a mammoth task for anyone. And as it turns out, Najib is no ordinary figure with an ordinary past. With ample ammunition for the Opposition to take aim at his credibility – the SAS (Sukoi, Altantunya, Submarine) scandals spring to mind as illustrations – a Najib administration could use a head-start in spearheading economic recovery at a time when global financial uncertainty is affecting countries in this region, too.. It is further also to Najib’s convenience that the Budget for the year 2009 has just been announced with much of the implementation left for him to oversee. As such, Najib does not have the baggage of others’ inefficiency to contend with – a prevalent concern whenever an economic plan is carried out.

As things, at least for the time being, cool down with regards to any contest for the Presidency of UMNO, it would be interesting to see Tun Dr.. Mahathir’s next move. Commanding a yet formidable following, his end-game for quite a while now is to unseat Abdullah as Prime Minister. His peculiar friendships with Tengku Razaleigh, Muhyiddin and Najib are telling – those individuals are all nothing more than instruments to his ultimate goal: the downfall of Abdullah.

Ultimately, Abdullah’s supporters will hope that the PM’s move will be repaid with loyalty by Najib. Even to many who may not be Abdullah’s biggest fans are wary of the damage that an open contest will cause the party. Even they would gladly take two more years of Abdullah over the prospect of an internal split that will likely occur should we witness a repeat of the embarrassment suffered by the late Tun Ghafar Baba at the hands of a ruthless Machiavellian by the name of Anwar Ibrahim.

Still two more , my take Teresa should be out anytime and RPK probably one month .

As for RPK , one month from sept 13
    hope I'm right .
Can open a stall by the roadside making predictions if I'm right again.
As for GSOS anyone want to make a guess ?

  61. That's good that she's been released.

Now what she needs to do is to sue those responsible for her unjustifiable detention for tens upon tens of millions of ringgit.

She should sue the pants off the bastards.
