What Hitler's SS used to do

al Jazeera reported that:

An Israeli missile has destroyed the home of a senior Hamas commander in the Gaza Strip, causing no casualties, Palestinian witnesses said.

The witnesses said the family had evacuated the building, in the town of Khan Yunus, after they were told by telephone to flee minutes before the attack on Friday.

The Israeli army spokeswoman confirmed the military had telephoned them. She said the target was a warehouse used to store weapons. Israel has often accused Palestinians of hiding such facilities inside their homes.

Collective punishment - you're dare to struggle against the Nazis or Israelis, your family would be punished. Proof, evidence due process or legality not required, just the way Hitler's sturmtroopers operated.

Use of disproportionate force? Haven't you heard the arrogant assertion of Dan Gillerman, Israeli ambassador at the UN, regarding Israeli devastating destruction of Lebanon? He said "You're damn right we used disproportionae force!"

Fairness? Hey, we are talking about Nazis and Israelis!

  1. Dear, KTemoc. I take this opportunity to wish you a Happy DeepaRaya! If I could, I would personally invite you to an open house in Johore. However, I have yet to extend my invitations to other bloggers (and especially readers), so you'll just have to wait.

I have one question, KTemoc, and please do not take this wrong way like the day you did with my O'Brien f.k.a. Winston Smith brouhaha (it is not directed at you, but to a particular fellow who pledges his allegiances to Gombak, and who practises selective censorship on readers' comments). If a person was to expose another person to grave harm or injury (mind you, the latter is innocent of any criminal or terrorist acts, much less legislated acts of contempt) by means of deception or publicity, can you and I agree that the former should be reprimanded severely? Maybe the former should issue an unreserved and unqualified apology for such acts? Or at the very least, exposed to the same pervading fear (or insults) as the latter has suffered? Whaddya think?

  2. Happy Festival to you too. Put some names to your scenario to give it context, and I'll try to provide a fair answer ;-)
