The same cannot be said of most Muslims.
You have yet to answer my question
on the percentage of non-Malays in PAS. My question has to do with the ethnic not religious makeup of the Party. Your question regarding the number of Muslims in th DAP indictes a certain level of Muslim / Malay bigotry typical of this country.
By the way, the DAP does have Malays among other ethnic groups as members of the Party.
As for the IPCMC issue Pas' support of the commission is riddled with qualifications which render Pas's support for the commission all but meaningless..Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11109306.post-1150033852568787182006-06-11T21:50:00.000+08:002006-06-11T21:50:00.000+08:00MENJ, Islam is undeniably Arab in origin and chara...MENJ, Islam is undeniably Arab in origin and character. Your history is non-existent.

As for PAS, tell me what percentage of its members are non-Malays? But I wasn't worried about him suggesting the leadership of ulamak in rallies.

I was more concerned about Hadi Awang's threat for protestors to throw stones at the FRU. Throwing stones against the opposition is also a typically Palestinian tactic, for the reason I posted. That's Palestine and Palestinians. Desperate people under desparate conditions in desperate times call for desperate tactics.

But within our Malaysian context, it's extremely dangerous for protestors to do that to the FRU, whom we have witnessed could be extremely brutal even when not provoked. What more when some young lad throw stones at them. I fear the consequences in our country where police extreme brutality up to now have gone unanswered, unaccountable and unrepentant.

We should develop our unique Malaysian response. The fact that the authorities have used the FRU in such a brutal manner even in peaceful rallies signals that the protest rallies have been the right tactic. That the PM has come out to comment shows the effect is biting.

But we must not exceed the current boundaries of the peaceful characteristics of the rallies even when the FRU becomes brutal. We must not borrow the Palestinian tactic of throwing stones which may suit them but not us, hence my appeal not to resort to Arab tactics.

Our Malaysian style peaceful discipline will be our success.KTemochttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09951253039042572381noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11109306.post-1150015151316564702006-06-11T16:39:00.000+08:002006-06-11T16:39:00.000+08:00if what Hadi said is true ... it is a sad that aft...if what Hadi said is true ... it is a sad that after so many great leaders who has won independence for their countries we have to resort to violence ... someone should point to Hadi that there is a very effective campaign method prescribed by a simple human being named Gandhi!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11109306.post-1149987971818902952006-06-11T09:06:00.000+08:002006-06-11T09:06:00.000+08:00Another piece nicely written and I'm not patronisi...Another piece nicely written and I'm not patronising you.
