• Israel’s deadly strikes continue across Lebanon despite the announcement of a new US-brokered ceasefire agreed between Lebanese and Israeli officials in Washington, DC.
• At least 3,526 people have now been killed and 10,733 injured in Israeli strikes on Lebanon since March 2, the country’s Health Ministry said.
• Hezbollah chief Naim Qassem has rejected the ceasefire deal as a “farce”, warning that northern Israel will remain a target for fighters as long as Israel continues to bomb Lebanon.
• US President Donald Trump has branded as “unpatriotic” lawmakers who voted in favour of a resolution to limit his ability to wage war on Iran, adding: “We’re going to win one way or the other … it’s going to be militarily or on paper.”
• Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said there will be “no peace in the region” until Israel withdraws from Lebanese territory, adding that a deal between Tehran and Washington also involves an end to the conflict in Lebanon, according to Iranian media.

  Israel has continued to carry out deadly attacks across Lebanon despite the announcement of a new US-brokered ceasefire agreement reached by Lebanese and Israeli officials in Washington, DC.

  The violence has pushed the number of casualties higher, with Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health reporting that at least 3,526 people have been killed and 10,733 wounded in Israeli attacks since March 2.

  Meanwhile, Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem has dismissed the ceasefire as a “farce”, warning that northern Israel will remain a target as long as Israeli forces continue bombing Lebanon, raising more doubts about the prospects for a lasting truce.

Israeli military issues evacuation orders in southern Lebanon

The Israeli military has issued evacuation warnings for Aarnaya, Aanqoun and Kfar Kila, three villages and towns in southern Lebanon.

In a post on X, the Israeli army’s Arabic spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, instructed residents in several Lebanese villages to evacuate immediately to at least a kilometre away (0.6 miles).

Israel has continued to pound Lebanon with deadly strikes despite the announcement of a new US-brokered ceasefire on Thursday.
